How about International Christian Academy?  the primary school of Small World Kindergarten which has all good comment from my friends.

Is your kids studying  in small world?

My kids are in small world K1. We love the school very much and I am sure ICA would also be a very caring school just like small world. But frankly, I have no idea on their curriculum and esp the Chinese standard. Maybe I will call them up to arrange a school visit later.

yes,he's local but no idea if there's any connection.  I dont think he has priority too as they are not Singaporean.  this boy got admission in one top primary on island. parents are still considering IS or local.  but funny that my Singaporean friend's son is on waiting list

So you mean he applied for P1 not PY1, right?

Heard that this year even not all SG+sibling got the offer........

I believe is p1.   I don't understand their system at all..why many of those who have priority are unable to get in while a pure local boy can be admitted.

btw, my son's singaporean classmate got in. It's really hard for those who got no silbling and passport priortiy to get a spot!

Literally speaking, only Singaporean has the priority and basically MOST (I dare not to say ALL cos I heard that not all Singaporean got the offer this year) Singaporean will be admitted. Siblings will have some priority in the sense that if 2 kids got the same mark, the one with sibling will be picked.

From what I observe in my elder son's year (now in PY2), the ratio of non-SG: SG admitted is about 6:4. But it is about 2.5:7.5 in the next year....I believe that some seats will still be allocated to those without any priority...but the kid must be very outstanding and smart!

I wonder how the priority works in the marking scheme.  1) Priority followed by performance, or 2) does priority only work for bottom line cases after the performance is evaluated?  So can I intepret that Singaporeans who do not get an offer perform really badly?  Search me.

Is your Singaporean friend's son holding Singapore passport himself or just your friend being a Singaporean?

Actually they included an application form in the rejection lettwr. Guess they r inviting us to apply again next yr coz some will drop out? My fd said this yrs ratio is 8:2. Those locals who were accepted r the really outstanding ones. Top few among thousands. Many Singaporean kids do drop out later becoz they cannot catch up with the curriculum. We can still try next yr.

My son said they were asked to play for 10 minutes. Then answer some q in eng and pth. Then did some written works. Some abt patterns and tracing. That's wat he told me

Your son seems very smart, he can tell u the process in such details!
