I'm very sorry to hear that.  SPCCPS is the best of the best school in town.  Your kid must be very very smart to get admitted.
I also read the effort and situation you have gone through during this admission process.   Don't worry, as your kid is so smart, he will be alright no matter where he goes.

I agree that SPCCPS is the best school in town, and I appreciated my son's effort during the interview.
He is usually a shy boy, who does not talk much.

I hope he could perform as good during YCPS's interview, so that he could get admitted.

Dear all,
Last year I was the same as you. I got the 6th choice.
I still remembered what the teacher asked in YCPS new
   "Please introduce yourself?" of course in English.
However, my girl is afraid of this question. Then, the teacher asked the second question in english. My girl answered her. The teacher suddenly asked in chinese for the third question. My girl still answered in English. At the end, I found out the teacher is a PTW teacher and our result of course is failed.  I just want the parents to prepare yourself to face the situation.
At the end, my girl got TSL. So just try. If you are well prepared, you will get something at the end. Do not classify your child by what school he/she get.
Do not classify the other children by what school they enter.

根據各小學的官方網站可以知道2011年的升中概況

舊油天上年小六全級184人, 入英中有124人, 百份比67%
新油天上年小六全級180年, 入英中有115人, 百份比64%

大家有時間可以進入各小學的官方網站細閱!!!
