至於profile,我本成90pages ,maybe too much , 是我同囝囝一齊做,見證著他的成長,送了給校長也有d不捨得呢

真係太多了。獎項不需多，一兩個突出就是了。我阿大的Profile，本来也有幾十pages，後来，給我大刀一cut，剩下十多頁，用一魚尾夾一夾起来就算。很多我們珍而重之之寶貝，在名校眼中，一堆癈紙而己。

我到DGS交阿大之profile，門口之校工叫我放在一個紙皮箱，我放下後，還愚蠢地問他有沒有收條。那校工只是笑笑，沒有答我。

你識唔識游水？我游水唔叻，但浮水可以，一個50尺塘，以三式(單用一式不行)浮他十個八個绝無問題。

浮水者言：池不在乎深淺，而在乎不用浮版而浮得起。

識游水的，起碼條件是不用浮版，然後要游得快。你咁同人講："囝囝個池最淺水都2米,佢係池裹最細一個,又無用浮版,所以我都覺佢有d天份"，實比人out啦。

如果我係你，我一定咁講:"我將囝囝放在一個2米之深池上，佢係池裹最細一個，又無用浮版，個個人都望住他和我這個妈妈。那知他一入水，就像魚兒一樣，逢人過人。佢係有d天份。"

To all mums whose kids are on waiting list :
Keep your fingers crossed since you stand a good chance.  

To all mums whose kids have been not been admitted :
Your kids will blossom equally well under your guidance, whichever school they will eventually attend.  Keep it up !!  

We have learnt, heard and seen a lot from all the P1 interviews during the past few months.
My thanks goes to all mums who have shared their experience.

haha, yes, i think i need to train my speech, you said what i want to express
hmm, my kid can swim four style not only float, and he  just like a fish, but the time is only 1 min 30 second in 50 m with free style, when i take my kid to swimming pool, all people say "wah, your kid is very good" and the first time he swim in adult pool. the life guard see my kid tightly haha
in interview , we  just say little, because my husband think we prepare the profile to school before so  he think no need to talk too much ,because he   think they will  read the profile .
if they no read , he think also is fine, actually  there are also  no time can talk too much , also my performance is not good too,so my kid fail

At this critical moment of disscussion, I lost my password and yet have technical difficulty in getting the new one.  It's so released now that I can express for my long suppressed comments now.

My son is also on the waiting list, though feeling a bit disappointed but still feel proud of my son for being able to be on the waiting list after knowing the small no. ga le.  Ah! The whole admission exercise has ended by now, as a prize for his effort, we will travel for a Happy X'mas.

I also call the School, the staff said there are no waiting nos. assigned.  Then I asked whether some of them have third interviews, they said no, they only have a second interview, hence I suspect some of the students who do not have second interview have been reviewed and chosen for the second interview again.

Congratulation. As I predict previously, your son stands a high chance for admission.    From your detailed description after the interview, your family really behaves well, your son deserve the "prize".

Congratulation to all other admittees' ma ma too and encouragement extended to all other non-admittees  and waiting candidates.

90 pages!?太誇張啦!我老公做的只有一張cover letter和一張各獎項的list.

你的兒子已能讀三年級的書?如果我的孩子能力可到三年級,我會找能讓他跳班的學校.

我囝囝連second interview都無喎! 但又點? In邊間全部都係我安排, 佢乜都唔知, 個profile係我做, 做得幾靚架, 拿去DBSPD登記interview時, 個印藉英文主任重話靚, 而內容更要乜有乜, 要獎都有獎, 要成績亦有成績, 亦都係讀出名既KINDER, 一的都唔輸’sit’架, 最後佢連second in都無我就只係覺得係我肥左佬, 同佢一的關係都無, 佢在每一個識佢既人心內都重係一個smart kid!
呢的interview重來都係家長既比武, 有乜fair唔fair即, 玩完咪算law. 我個細路最可能係interview時太緊張, 甘對我既啟示係train下佢大膽D, 改善到咪perfect law!

小兒一向都有習泳, 但我對佢重來學乜野都無乜大抱負, 學琴我唔會同佢考級, 游水唔洗佢練水, 反而佢在毫無壓力下天天練琴, 每星期都有上游水堂, 次次升級都ok喎. 但唔係好似妳個仔O甘'STAR'law. 第時佢入唔入泳隊佢自己話事, 我同囝囝都有同一信念, 就係話之你運動方面有幾叻, 成績唔好無人可憐你, 我最希望佢可輕鬆應付, 唔洗我煩. 要安排一個好既學習環境俾佢我已做左, 以後係佢自己既show time. 如果妳對DBSPD死心, 我地出年LS見啦.

Dear all moms,

Really have luck this time to get in DBSPD.
I'll register on Jan 8 to see whether we have chance to bump into each other.

Special thanks to DiDima who shares so much with us. LaS is the top school with proved history as well. I think you're going to have headache in choosing between LaS and DBSPD soon. How do you train your son to be ready to P1 ???

Our profile is about 20-30 pages which is very simple with photo and copies. I did not spend much time in compiling (due to no time) since I was told that most of the schools do not really take a deep look of it , just flip through. The reason I did just for memory.

My son is studying Learning Habitat Kindergarten which is bilingual nursery. Not famous, but it provides a good learning environment with fun for kids.

Follow up with queries during interview,  we also met up with the secondary principal - Cheung Chat Chong , two ladies, I think one of them is Lo Kam Lai, primary principal. Are there only 10 students be interviewed by Prin. Cheung??? I doubt ??

Wa ! Your son is really great ! Swimming can help him to develop confidence. He must continue.

Thank you. The same thing, we are really lucky. We are not rick family and my son is not very outstanding, he doesn't have any awards in any activities and he is not from St. Cathxxxx. So, when we see so many people in the playground during the first interview, I already tell myself, "If he can has a chance in 2nd interview, I already assume he win everyhting". So, I always believe I got the "prize". Therefore, after interview, I emphasize to my son that no matter he has the seat or not, he had did the best. Of course, being accepted is another big present.

To All mom's who had 2nd interview,

There are some words from my deep heart :

Please really explain more to your kids because this is NOT THEIR FAULT. DON"T blame himself. This is not the game for them. He cannot afford for this small kids.

The reason is I see some of my friends who had applied famous school for their children and they did many things when they are from Kinder stage. Finally, they fail. But they didn't mention anything to them because they assume they don't understand. However, even today, almost 1 year, the kids still put this quires inside their heart. Once, they asked me what is happening. This is really bad. Maybe this already hurt them but the parents do not know.  So, please take it serious.

I share with you so much.  It's now my time to "comfort" my son that he is already very smart and he has been admitted to a good school KTS where the teachers are all good and kind.  You know, he personally loves DBS for the big playground esp he witnesses the happy school life when he goes for the second interview.  He even has drawn "DBS" by himself (surprisingly) as his Christmas wish in one of his homework.  I asked him to replace it with another picture with some toys la (which will have come true) as I don't want him to get disappointment when he reaches X'mas.   

Yesterday when I told him the result, he even asked me whether he can apply next year. Seems that he has greater persistence than me.

Dear all moms,

We should let our kids know that no matter what the result is, they are still our darlings, and we will  love them for who they are just the same.

School and others can reject them/put them on waiting lists, but they will always have their place in our hearts.

same as you, my son also ask whether he can apply next year as he love the playground and the snack store. My son also admiited by KTS and we are going to register tomorrow. Did you go to KTS's open day last Saturday (we missed it), how was it?

Oh, we are in the same boat, we can share more info, perhaps in another thread, abt KTS then.

I did go to KTS's open day. It's quite well-organized and the teachers are nice but are not as many participants as I expected. My son is happy as he enjoyed the game and has won a lot of prizes for the stall games.   One thing though, the classrooms are too small to accomodate nearly 40 students.  I asked a student that lower primary classes consist of around 37 students whilst upper classes around 33 students.
