我個仔有張圖問, 仲要他講明左邊幅圖有mud mud和右邊幅圖mud mud, 主要找出分別不同之處, 但阿仔攪到左右不分, 可能failed!

我冇考 St Paul Co-edu, 因我唔想太辛苦同理阿仔冇可能考到, 我囡d功課都攪唔掂, 因兩個都要返工.

St Jo 都應該唔收我仔, 因得10 分. 家姊個間學校是女校, 細老冇積so.  但最後都會讀st jo 如果收我, 因全英文, 程度強過st paul (中文).  d level 唔深, 因同阿囡間學校比較過, d 考試paper 程度合理 同華仁差不多, 唔會考d好難又未見過.

希望你阿仔努力, 要克服nervous 係好難. 其實去st paul int之前, 我都冇同佢practice...因冇用....nervous...咩都唔記得...可以的話, train 下左右...圖的分別.  

DBSPD就下星期六...二時左右...去participate 下, 太難入, 但入到又好似唔辛苦, 唔道係唔係.

None of your case is worst than mine. My son was so nervous but still managed to answered all the questions (in addition to the typical name, school, there were questions about how tall is your building, had u ever seen firework, where and when ? What did you do on the National Day (he said hiking in the morning and seeing firework at night) ? How can you get to hiking ?). He was so tensed during the entire Q&A. He was then given clear instructions to talk over the difference between two pictures, one in the left and the other one in the right. Then, my son said :

" there was 2 windows in the castle in the picture on the right and there was 2 windows in the castle in the picture on the left" He then noted that he had read out the "2" wrong and at the same time, the headmistress pointed out both pictures had "2" windows ??   He couldn't help crying right after ....

Yet, the headmistress was so patient and told him to relax and no need to be so nervous; gave him a pcs of tissue, encourage him to "talk" her through another 2 differences which he could still manage to do clearly.

It was his first interview - too nervous. Over the weekend, he then attended Ramondi and St. Stephen - i guess doing OK. The 4th one was St Paul Co-edu and co-incidently he was being arranged in the same session as one of his classmates. After the interview, he told me that he was asked by the teachers in the game room to keep quite as he was reading together with his classmates (and laughing very loud). Later on the two were seperated and asked to sit and wait (can't read anymore), my son said he was very angry and pretended sleeping when he was waiting to see the headmistress.  

We will have DBS tommorrow and i don't know what will happen next ?

Have been so upset with all these surprises but feeling a lot better after annoucing this out now.

After all these interviews, I feel very tired.
A lot of absent from work for the parents, absent from school for childs.
A lot of worries waiting for news.
A lot of excitment every time open the mail box.
... and frequently followed with lots of frustruation.

Does it worth it ?

身同感受:cry:
不過可能是因為在等候消息的楷段, 所以大家都有點莫名的感覺: 納悶, 心急, 難受, 奧悔甚至怒氣~是可以理解的o 當然, 若結果是令人滿意的話, 我相信到時你的答案會是正面的; 有時為所愛的人做的事, 都沒有可以衡量的方程式

Dear Tatama123,

Definitely not Ramondi which, although is not a bad school overall speaking, but seems do not have any particular area of strength. Tought choice on the remaining two - St Paul Boy has a much better brand name but appears a bit old fashion and local whereas St. Stephen probably will provide a more international outlook (its horizon, language development) for the kid  but its reputation for its secondary school, as i understand, is not as good. Also location wise is another consideration.  There is also a scarity value for St. Paul Boys as it is more difficult to get in. To be honest, these two were not my target to start with but as my son did not perform well in St. Paul Co-edu and believably DBS as well, i've tuned down my expectation now. Actually, there is still another school i am long for PLK CKY whose interview is coming up next Sat.
I always thought i am quite a easy-go easy come person but it appears that i did care so (or even too much) about my son's schooling. Worst is that it may mainly due to my personal desire, "face" issue, and evidence that my son is superior.  I even start hating and blaming myself for all these. To be honest, i'm down, confuse, lost, and frustrated. Happy to hear your view.

Come on, Baby Yui Yui, you have to cheer up. Poor parents nowadays. I know a couple of mums who all have high hope on their sons. After a series of interview game, all seem to look tired and a bit lost. You have to believe in yourself and your son. Don't let the game torture you. Just let it be. It is afterall a matching game. Failure in it only means it's not a perfect match and there's nothing wrong with anyone one of us. Cheer up!!
