Hi,

想請問陳守仁小學既各位家位, 你地小朋友當年interview係以點樣形式呢? 考小朋友D咩呢? 家長之前應要預備D咩呢? 因為仔仔下星期五要in呢間學校, 不過今年成2千幾人報名, 我真係好擔心仔仔唔得!:(

以前 first round 係 group interview, 都係玩puzzle 同講故仔。
雖然話用中英文都得，不過如果可以用全英文對答就較好。今年換佐新校長，所以唔清楚會點安排。

Dear Principal and all,

Thanks for your sharing and responding to my observation. Being a new parent there are lots of anxiety and doubt in our own choices. Basically I think I am quite satisfied with the choice I made for my child.

Nice to hear from you again.

We can understand new P.1 parents' concern as we experienced the same last year.
No school is perfect.   There is always room for improvement.
Hope you will not mind our comments made on your last few posts.
For the same matter, different parents may have different feelings and
judgement as we are different entities.
That's what this chatroom is for.
We can express our views on different things about the school and
share our experience.

I also had a lot of worries at the start of the term. But now all my worries are gone. My kid now enjoys school as much as she did in kindergarten. The workload is not heavy so she has time to develop her interests.

I use longman and selin, pretty good.

I wonder if parents could share with me what kind of Maths training is good for a child's development. Somebody told me that Kumon's repeated pattern of training might boring the child. How about the Olympic Maths, any parents can share? Are your children receiving Kumon or Olympic, how's the experience and outcome?

My child ask me what's the difference between La,  Le and L'
e.g. La girafe; Le taxi; La banane; L'orange, when to use lLa, when to use Le, or they have different meanings?

Personally I do not know French at all.
The following is what my child just told me.

In French,  each noun will be classified as either "female" or "male".
La = female
Le = male

L'orange = female but because of the vowel "o", it will start as L'
L'hippopotame = male but because of the consonant "h", it will also start as L'

There should be  certain rules determining this.

Hope some other TSL parents who know French better can give you a more comprehensive reply.

Yes, you are correct.

Therefore, after the examination in Chinese subject on next Friday, we can start our planning on how to spend the Christmas holiday.

Dear all,

Are you aware that there is a new look in  the school web site today?
A Christmas tree is there!!!
Plus the snow-flakes that are falling down continuously.
That reminds us that Christmas is coming soon........................

It is a very good idea.
Once again, credit should be given to the I.T. teacher.
While our children are preparing for the upcoming examination, they will know that they can all play hard after the examination soon.
But let's work hard first.
