I presume this is the new prospectus for the 2008-09 P.1 admission.

Do you know whether the current TSL parents/pupils can get a copy from the school or not?

Just curious to see what new information is included in the prospectus.

Hi 小2的家長們,

因為Friday老師通知學生要買2本課本(phonic and 怏樂普通話),
所以今日跑了很多書店,由旺角(齡記、世界),九龍城(偉發)去到西環、銅鑼灣(商務)都買不到

唔知其他家長有沒有上述情況呢

We bought these 2 books at Wat Fat in Kowloon City at the end of August.

My kid brought it back last Thursday. Didn't you receive it? The cover is blue in colour.

The information is very general.

No, my child did not bring it back home so I have not seen it yet.
But when I asked her this evening, she also said the cover is blue and there is Mr. Yeung's photo on it.

Will remind her to bring it back home this week.

My girl is a new student of TSL and she's in class 2A. Nice to meet you all. Just want to ask if any one knows that do you need to have music instruments training to join the Marching Band?

For Marching Band, not too sure whether musical instrument training is a pre-requisite for your child to be recruited or not?
But I can imagine that drum and trumpet will be the 2 main musical instruments the team members need to play well.

Can parents of senior grades please advise on this?

Just saw the new 2008-09 P.1 admission prospetus
being put online on the school web site.
We can download it by ourselves.

It is very environmentally friendly.
And for those who are interested in our school can
get a copy from the web easily.
This is very good and wise usage of I.T technology.

Credit should be given to the I.T. teachers and all the other
teachers who are supporting this new policy.

To P.2 parents,

Can anyone tell me what is the meaning of NCS? I saw this word so many times but really go no idea about it.

I really feel confused to read the shortname when I check online handbook.

for e.g.

English:SUP WS 1A
read WP P2.
bring Y1 and Y2
- what is the full description for SUP WS and also what is
the meaning for WP? Also, what is stand for Y1 and Y2?

Pls help.

I believe I can answer some (not all) of your questions.

NCS = Non-Chinese Students
SUP WS = supplementary worksheet
WP P.2 = Welcome Plus P.2
Y1 and Y2 = sorry, no idea

The rundown of the P.1-P.6 Parents Talk is as below.

2:00 - 2:45 p.m. : Welcoming Speech and Introduction of School Major Concerns 2007/2008

2:45 - 3:30 p.m. : Meeting Class Teachers in individual classroom

Your child should have been given a circular on this today.

If not, please go to the school web site and click "Home" and then click "Circular" and then choose Circular #G022.
