Have you made a visit to the visa office to check if your passport has been received yet?  For some cases, the office staff may have forgotten to inform the applicants to pick up their passports.  Wish you to have your passport back soon.

Yes, I go to the visa centre everyday except weekend, but I am still waiting for my passport.
I was unable to attend my flight twice because of the delay caused by UK Visa Centre, I have to paid a total of £650.


I also have to ask for my student accomendation refund because I have been told told to defer my study to next year. The accomendation fee is £15,000.

The UK Visa application plus the pirority serivce is £250 (£198 for the priority service). If the UK Visa Cnetre can promise the processing time scale, why does the UK Visa Centre accpet this amount in the first place!!?? This is extremely irresonsible.

Besides all these financial lose, I have to suffer one year delay in my study. I feel deeply sad by this outcome.

I hope the public, media and governamnet will help me on this.

No system can check, that's why I call them again to confirm whether decision is made!  They told me decision was made, but didn't disclose whether it's approved, rejected!  What an unhelpful and unprofessional paid hotline!

I had the same situation as yours but I sent an e-mail to them and they told me that a decision has been made albeit my status being not recognised on the site til now! They couldn't tell me when it was deicded though and told me to wait til I get notified to collect my passport.

Too sorry to hear about your painful experience.  I think the situation may have been improved after the issue has been widely reported by the media recently. Just read this from the website, see if it can help.

由於英國更改審批留學簽證的審批程序，以至逾500名本港留學生至今未獲簽證，錯過準時到當地開學，部份人甚至擔心因延誤到學校會被取消學席或影響畢業。特首林鄭月娥今早召開行會前宣佈，政府下午3點將開設熱線協助受影響同學。

林鄭稱，政務司司長和她本人周一都曾與英國駐港總領事接觸，對方向她承諾會協助本港學生跟進簽證事宜，並願意為受影響學生撰寫信件給學校或教育機構，證明今次延誤並非學生問題，而是簽證簽發問題。

我也剛收到這個email，是否代表批了？要等幾耐取到passport ？

我18/8(18.30)收到这email後, 19/8的早上(11:30) courier就送到passport了.  你有機会今天下午或明天收到.

Thanks your info. 我們原本5/9凌晨機，5/9開學，已改了機票，不過總算唔遲太多。
