08/09 K1H Dorset campus 報到!!

Today they had assessment on 常識.  Calix told me 2 questions:
(1) Circle the things to be used on rainy days (raincoat, rainboots & umbrella).

(2) Circle the things which are dangerous (fire & knife).

Not sure if they had assessment on numbers also.  Calix just told me that they were required to answer the number order (e.g. 4, ?, 6)

Calix said Ms. Chan asked him some Chinese words also and marked a tick beside the words.  He said the ticks marked by Ms. Chan are not accurate (只是一撇，沒有前面一小剔）.  The words mentioned by Calix include those learnt in 1st term (like 大，火，中）.

But I really wonder whether they'd taken so many assessments today???

Also, do you notice that they'd written some numbers, dominos, letters & pictures on the back of the homework sheet returned today?  I guess that that's kind of revision and they may have assessment on counting & English tmw.

nicholas said they also wrote alphabects today.  A, B, C, D.  I don't know if its true or not...

Joyce told me that today they had done the colouring. e.g. colour the grass in green.  Moreover, they had done the drawing. e.g. give a boy a hat. Then they need to draw a hat afterwards.

Calix told me that 蓉姐 took the English paper for them this morning.  He just told me there're many pictures on the paper and they needed to draw some pictures.

Have you ever heard that they are learning Mandarin in class now?  Today Calix suddenly told me that he didn't know how to read the words on the blackboard in Mandarin.  I asked what these words are and he said they are the lyrics of some Chinese songs.  I just think that they'll have Mandarin lesson only after K2.  I asked if any classmate know how to say Mandarin and he said "Howard".

Before he'd told me that Annabelle said "Yi, Er, San, Xi..." (1, 2, 3, 4 in Mandarin) in class.

Calix's eyes are infected...又紅又腫 now.  I took him to the doctor after school already.  Don't know if he could go to the party or not tmw...

My maid did not wake Vianca up this morning as she thought she has to go only by 8:45am. ....crazy tse tse!

Vianca, still with her pyjama, came to me at 8:20am this morning & we "poped up" from bed immediately. Rushed & rushed, Daddy drove her to school right away. They arrived school only by 9:10am. Embarrassing! Vianca is one of the birthday girl ar!

Hi Vianca mom,

Thanks for your message.  Calix's left eye is still red & swollen.  He's taking antibiotics and using eye-drop & cream now.  Hope he can recover soon!

Luckily Vianca could arrive the classroom b4 blowing the birthday candles, right?  I think she's willing to rush all the way to school as long as she could sit in the birthday star table in time.

Nicholas miss his school friends already.  When i told him that there's no school fr the coming 2 weeks, he said, oh dear, i will miss my friends and i'll be so bored.....:(

Hi Nicholas mom,

Calix's eyes are much better now...still look red as some 微絲血管 are broken.  Yeah, he missed the party very much but he's happy when we received Ms. Chan's call during the party saying that his party gifts could be collected from the school bus.  Calix finished making and painting the photo frame on the same day.

good to hear that he's recovering.  i took out the holiday homework yesterday and told nicholas to complete 1 page. wow, they can write so fast now...and within 15 minutes he finished all 3 pages (of couse not perfectly) !! they must have been writing so much during school :)

did you have breakfast gathering @ party day? i'm sick on that day so cant join you girls... however, i recieved charles mom's phone call at morning and she went to delifrance to see whether you guys are there or not... and she didnt find you all.. she always want to join however she is not in here...

Poor guy, it's ok......can join next gathering in next month.  Alton's mom asked Cassidy why u did not take her to school on that party day and she replied "Because mommy is lazy and still sleeping in bed".  haha......so funny answer.

Fu Soen's Mom,
Thanks for the gift to Calix!  I guess it's a gift by Fu Soen because of her birthday, right?  Is today Fu Soen's birthday?  Anyway, happy birthday to Fu Soen!

I remember during last parents' day you said you may drop Fu Soen to school during their May's birthday party, right?  If that's the case, will you join our breakfast gathering?  Cassidy's mom & I will be there definitely...maybe Joyce/Alton/Nicholas/Charles' moms also?  Haven't met you all for a long time and we should have a good chat again!

I'm so sad that Calix hurt his knee badly at school yesterday.  He cried seriously and was in a bad mood yesterday!
