Seems that you have not talked to the right person.  It is more the problem of one teacher.  In my experience, when I have problem, I will talk to the principal or vice-principal, who really have the authority to improve things or resolve problems.  I don't think the school is not open-minded, just some teachers are not doing very well.  Rude teachers can be found in any schools, no matter in kinders, primary or secondary, local or international.  There are a lot of these incidents discussed in other BK threads.

For me, discipline is necessary to be enforced since K1, and English standard needs to be good enough for the kids to be able to go into primary.  The school is doing this well, yet hope that all teachers can do it in a nice and friendly way.

Of course I have to talk to the class teacher if I want to see if my kid got used to the new enivroment!!!!!!
I don't want to risk my child's safety if i talk to the principal while my child is still in her class!!!!!!!!!!
Also even the EMB will not suggest teacher asks any student to get out/stand outside the classroom if the teacher thinks the student is naughty. I think they can have a time-out chair inside the classroom if they claim themselves to be an international school.
Time-out chair is a common thing in the western society's setting - Don't they know?!!!!!!!!!!
Afterall I found that they only cater for those parents who want their kids to go to local elite /famous school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whereas we want my child to learn through play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm happy that my child left so quickly!

麗港城朗思d老師唔錯 (外籍老師不太清楚, 因少接觸), 對小朋友好好, 對家長都有禮貌。我個仔讀Pre-nursury, 佢學識了好多野, 包括英文生字, 而且好開心, 佢好鍾意教佢那個梁先生 。

could you please tell me more about this school (kowloon tong branch) as most of the comments only on mei foo branch.  i am planning to let my girl to study in Think (kowllon tong branch) for K1 this year so would like to have your comments on it.

my elder girl joined their summer playgroup this year and it gave me the impression that the teachers and amahs were  very nice and the school envir. were good as well.  is your girl studying whole day in this school now? is it half day international and half day chineses?

What you described was quite bad.  

My girl also goes to the one in Laguna City.  She was in Ducks last year and she is in Bunnies now.  Her class teacher is also an Indian lady, whom I think might probably the same Indian teacher of your son.  However, as I recall, children are not required to write in the int'l class, at least not yet.  As the principal has stressed at the beginning of the term, the international class would put more emphasis on oral and the bilingual class would have more homework on writing in order to bridge the lcoal primary schools.

In a year and 3 months, altogether I think I called the teachers only 2 or 3 times for some minor incidents.  Most of the times it was the teachers calling us to tell us what happened in school, what our girl did, or if she bumped herself somewhere or she looked sick and asked us to check if she was okay.  Whenever we bumped into them on the street we would chat on how our girl faired in school.

Probably after you talking to the principal, she did talk to the teacher and changed things.  Our girl is also the active type: jumping and running around, talking whenever she likes.  Yet she was penalized (time-out) only when she pushed the other children while playing and refused to apologize for that.  We actually heard from friends (whose kids also study in the same school) that our girl did something wrong in school and so we called the teachers to find out what happened.  The teachers told us it was very minor about fighting over toys that happened to all kids now and then and so they didn't alert us.

I share your resent on how your son was treated.  I guess the principal did make some improvement and luckily we haven't had any bad experience so far.

我都有同個中文老師傾過，佢都話之前d細佬蝦英文老師。我未見過新呢個，不過中文老師話呢個同佢既教學方法差唔多，咁都應該幾好既。

講真，我都唔係幾想要第1個英文老師(即係由LNC跟住去UNA的那個)及剛剛走的那個。第1個英文老師幾nice，但d英文口音就唔多得。開頭我都怕亞仔會學左佢d口音，不過無事喎，唔知點解呢。剛剛走的那個我只係學校旅行見過，佢成日個樣都好似唔多開心咁，或者佢無野既，不過我自己覺得幼稚園老師應該係開朗d個隻款好d囉。

係海麗村去學校都唔算好方便，你妹妹自己接送真係好心機。係呢，其實點解你妹妹將個仔轉黎呢間學校既?

我係在職媽媽呀，亞仔由星期一至五都係婆婆照顧，週末先番來我地屋企。我都想晚上接個仔番屋企，然後朝早送佢番學，但係如果咁做我地兩公婆就一定要起碼遲30-45分鐘先到公司，你話點得呀。如果亞仔番全日，佢可以8am就入學校，咁到時問題就解決啦。不過暫時都唔會番全日住。

咁你有冇小朋友呀?

之前妹妹住係我附近我就幫佢個仔報我仔女隔離間幼兒園因為我可以三個細路車晒出去，放學又一齊走(全日)後嚟佢要搬，返九龍城好唔方便咁未同佢搵Think lor，一嚟近d就算搭taxi都冇咁貴 二嚟而家d小學開始注重英文同普通話，咁Think都有呢兩方面嘅教育，小朋友接上小學會較應，讀得好選小學都廣泛d la ，所以我選擇佢lor !

放假先湊仔正喎！我都明白要返工又送個仔d時間真係好趕，其實就算湊佢返只係可以送到門口，呢樣唔係幾好，學校同家長溝通確實唔夠。
不過我真係唔係幾鐘意朝早無d老師或嬸嬸照顧下d小朋友，但又唔比家長進入，上次我送佢個仔返學因為我比較緊張，副校長見到佢都好識做咁理下個小朋友。
不過佢個班主任幾好喎

咁你打算幾時轉全日呀？

有呀兩名咯   小五、小六

你亞妹有你呢個家姐真係好。

其實朝早都有d老師或嬸嬸照顧架，佢地全部人企晒係門口或音樂室喎，有d可能去左留下接搭校車既學生，不過我都認為再多幾個人手會好d。好多時見老師要照顧d細既都好唔得閒，一朝早仲咁多學生係差唔多時間出現，場面都真係有d亂架。特別係最近開始要番到學校要換鞋，放學又要換，老師及嬸嬸都多左好多野做。

我都未決定係唔係轉全日，如果係都會係k2先轉多。但係到時可能又想比佢參加課外活動，咁只係番上午班時下午就多d時間番課外活動。另外，番全日要成5000元，都真係幾貴呀。我都未唔知點，遲d先算啦。

原來係咁…唉因為我係個極度緊張嘅人 所以可能反應大左希望唔好見怪呀

咁又係我本來都想同佢轉全日， 但小朋友仲會有其它課外活動再計埋學費就好重負擔
