DGJS 今日開始 2nd Interview

好似舊年咁，有朋友個囡囡in咗7間學校，間間都唔收(包括有second-in)那些，最後只有DGJS收咗！===> 真係嚇破膽 !
上年我同事個女, 都係報幾間得 st paul co-edu收 .. 連地區直資都唔得 ... 真係 .. 玩死人 ...

絕對同意呀....有時真係搞唔清楚學校要D咩類型的學生架，唔好話咁Top嘅學校啦，就連二、三線那些都未必考到呀...

我都覺得 portfolio冇乜用 ... 以前我都唔信 ... 都有參加成行成市的朗誦比賽 ..諗返轉頭都覺得有掉錢落咸水海的感覺 ...
面試表現同academic基礎真係最要緊 ..

同埋,係咪學校杯茶又是最關鍵
就是"門當互對"的道理

入得dgjs second in的囡囡, 相信家長同囡囡都付出了不少,我相信入唔到dgjs都會有好offer !

After having gone through the process I also now think that what goes into the portfolio, whether there were alot of awards and certs etc., may not be the most important.  I did not believe it before, ...

some rumor say during interview the teacher feel yr kid is very brilliant, they may not give u an offer. It is because at the end u wont take their offer

I also heard some schools will not give the top kids 2nd interviews because the school knows that for these kids their school is just a back up. So rather than wasting the school's admin time these kids will not get 2nd interviews.

But I think these cases are rare....
I think a more common believe is that those girls who are smart in nature and will be chosen by most, if not all, schools.

portfolio對DGJS有沒有用就真的不知, 可能因為入得的都是好TOP, 不過我覺得portfolio的學校點都會參考下, 但係可能不是看小朋友有幾SMART (因為這在INTERVIEW時看得更清楚), 而是看家長對子女教育的態度.

Oh, my daughter did not get SPCC 2nd, I will tell her it is because she is too good for SPCC and SPCC knows that she will for sure get accepted by DGS!!

Sorry, just joking and day-dreaming here, and a bit of sour grapes of course since SPCC is such a great school!

我個囡去2IN另一家學校時, 佢竟然同我講:"媽咪, 呢間我唔會IN得好架, 因為我淨係想入女拔咋!" 我當堂呆左, 當然立刻補飛話, 做人要盡力, 唔可以因為無咁喜歡就求其......結果,  WAITING LIST~~

去年, 我女同班幼稚園同學, 被直屬小學拒絕唔收, 反而考ST. PAUL CO-EDU & DGJS收, 班主任話小朋友其實唔叻, 只係把口叻.  

所以我覺得考學校, 都係講緣份.

其實小朋友本身對每間學校都有佢地自己嘅感覺架...如果佢地主觀地喜歡某間學校，到interview時，小朋友相對地會發揮得好D...相反，如果他們不喜歡那間學校，多數結果都係考唔倒咯！
唔知大家有冇這些經驗呢？可以分享下！

我冇同個囡講自己最想佢入到邊間 ..
所以 .. 佢間間都話鍾意 .. 去interview又話好funny .. 剛去完cky佢問我可唔可以去多次 ..

我估係真既都係一D好特別既情況啫,唔會係大量咁再搵人去IN既.講真,一過左個2nd in,校長係好唔鐘意既,應該都會即刻call人再in啦,唔會過左咁耐先再call卦?

睇到, 但佢自己 delete 咗. 就算宜家仲有 2nd IN, 都冇人會知是否一定會取錄的. 咁又唔駛講到唔使瞓咁嚴重, 順其自然啦.

我個女好搞笑:
MOM: 你鍾意邊間學校?
D:       陳守仁, 因為有攀石場.
MOM: 聖瑪加利都有攀石場...
D(想了一會): 咁睇下邊間個攀石場大D就讀邊間...

(其實人地2間都未有話收她)

We often travel along the flyover besides DGJS.  My daughter now always points to the building and shouts "DGJS ah!" whenever she passes it.

I already told her that DGJS may not accept her.  But she just seems so excited.  I just don't know what she will think when she really fails ...........

my daughter too, everytime we pass thru DGJS, she will be very excited and jump up from her seat and shout out "DGS!"

Unfortunately, I feel the chance is much less from day by days, especially I saw there r so many SC students attending CKY interview

Most likely, they will be the same group of students who r waiting for DGJS interview result......
