Yes, changing teachers too often is of course not good. For us, we also do a lot of things to help our kids in English, e.g. borrow a lot of English story books and read to them, watch English cartoons etc, to arouse their interest.  Not sure if your sister's kid likes the teacher or not, my girl likes the teachers very much, so she enjoys going to school, which is most important.  There are occasions that she is not happy, then I will discuss with teachers and they will improve.  This school is good in that they at least will listen to what parents said.  I don't know how the other schools are, the same thing may happen as English teachers are not stable as they are in high demand.

So maybe your sister can talk to the principal to understand better, and help her kid more at home.  Personally I feel that only one hour English a day at school is not enough to arouse great interest in English.  My girl has studied 3 hours a day in English since N1, so she has greater interest in English.

雖然個英文老師成日轉，但我都無想過幫個仔轉校。佢好鍾意間學校，我怕幫佢轉校要佢適應新環境仲唔慣。

當然，學校成日轉老師呢個問題真係要同學校傾下，始終都對小朋友唔係幾好。但學WYmom話，第二間有外籍老師既學校都會有成日轉老師既問題，呢樣野係香港真係好普遍。希望學校方面可以做多d野去留住d老師。

其實你妹妹個仔鍾唔鍾意間學校架？佢之前係唔係都讀呢間？如果唔係，佢會唔會唔慣用英文上堂呀？

很多謝你的回覆及意見意見，我已着她和學校談談問題實在要盡快解决！其實我妹妹一向都有給英語的vcd及英語cartoons給兒子看，學前亦教他字母及簡單的生字，但因她不太懂英語所以沒有教兒子會話；不知是否資質問題 還是學習環境問題？！。
想請問入讀國際班將來是否都會選擇入讀國際學校？

之前係聖三一幼兒班轉來的，我想不習慣總是有點的。
鐘唔鐘意真的不清楚，他真的"好玩嘢"他對媽媽說沒有朋友很悶，但老師說他常和同學們玩超人變身玩得很開心！ 妹妹為了他就算交通不便亦堅持自己接送好讓她了解 了但總是摸不着頭腦！

If study in international class, there is no Chinese at all, so will have to choose international primary very likely.  Bilingual class is better as they can choose either local or international primary.  My kid studies half day international, half day Chinese/ Mandarin.

囝囝已收了明年於馬鞍山讀K1主流班，聽簡介會時提及K1唔會刻意教ABC...，想請問其他家長過往是否一樣，咁對孩子的學術水準會否低了；但到了K3會改用普通話代替中文，這又幾吸引．

我個仔宜家係美孚讀緊K1，我唔清楚學校點教佢ABC，不過我見佢都有自己係到講 "A a apple, B a ball, C a cat..."，而且仲有不同版本，即係有時"A a apple”，有時就"A a aeroplane”。我覺得學校可能唔想ｄ小朋友好似背書咁去記，而係透過唔同既方法令ｄ小朋友將呢ｄ英文不自覺咁入左腦。

暫時我覺得我個仔都已經學左好多英文生字，當然佢仲未可以認得個字，不過我問佢電視機英文係乜時，佢可以即刻答我係Television。我覺得中英文既進度都ｏｋ啦。

想問下麗港城果間ｄ老師如何？會唔會成日轉換老師？上次面試時有ｄ老師好cool下。

I received a leaflet from Think Mei Foo and it says that MOST of their students from international class can get into ESF primary schools. Does Think has any connection with the ESF primary schools then? I would like to know more regarding the actual statistics.......

We have seen the report of school distribution this year and it is true that a lot of international class students get into ESF primary (Kowloon Junior, Shatin Junior, Beacon Hill).  I don't know if the principal has relationship with ESF or not.  ESF accepts students based on English proviciency, and Think's International class students are quite good in English.

But not sure if this will continue next year after ESF's announcement of their priorities rules.

My kid had a terrible experience with this school in Laguna City. My kid was in the international class with an indian teacher. My kid was punished and asked to stand outside the classroom just because he talked in the classroom. he is only 3 years old!!!!!!!!!!! When they taught him how to wrtie numbers - which i don't think it's an appropiate age - he didn't want to write and fianlly he was retained in the classroom and was not allowed to have recess until he completed his work!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How come they were so cruel to a small kid!!!!!!!!!!! They also complained to me that my kid didn't do as they asked him to. My kid also told me that he was so afriad of the teacher because she always asked the children to shut up in a very rude manner!!!!!I really don't expect such kind of "duck feeding" education for my kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's now in a real "international school" and he is so happy!!!!

Have you complained to the school?  What is their response then?  It is quite important for any kinder that teachers have to be nice and friendly.

In Sept- at the beginning of the school term, I've called the teacher 2 times in a week to ask if my kid got used to the new enviroment! She even answered me in a very rude manner" You cannot expect me to answer your call everyday, I have a lot of preparation work to do!!!!!!!!!"  But I only called her two times in a week, NOT everyday! I don't think she will listen to my suggestions/my thinking.

Later, after we quit, the principal called us and said sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So afterall, they are international class but not real international school with an open-mind! So they definitely don't suit our standard!
