我地都係今個星期六去YW呀. 係仔的第一個小一面試, 有點緊張(係我!). 希望我自己放鬆心情. 因為都唔到我控制!

Hope that your BK will not act strange so that you can get online and I am not alone here... I need to release stress here somehow. Yes.. anxiety, worried... can't control the performance of the young child...

Getting ready for P1? Yes and no.

Textbooks, stationery, uniform, school bus and lunch order are fixed.  All ECA's will be changed to Saturday from Sept.  The whole summer holiday is play, play and play......just went to Ocean Park today for the "Summer Stunt Spectacular".

But I have no idea what the primary school life is like. Just can't imagine my girl is having lunch at school, carrying a big school bag all by herself, getting up early in the morning to catch the school bus.......I may be worried too much!!

Wow....your boy's 1st interview is coming very soon.  I recall YW's 1st interview (from my girl's classmates last year) included:

1. Drew a picture with some lines or shapes being given on the paper.  Last year, it was like a mountain and the boys had to use their imagination and creativity to extend and finish a picture.

2. Interviewed by teacher(s).  Basic questions (name, age, school....) were asked with a "處境問題" like "What would you do if you lost your mum in a shopping mall?"

3. Boys were sent to an area with books, and teachers monitored how the boys behaved.  It's better to have your boy reading books all along there.

Wish your boy the best of luck x 1,000,000 ...... this Sat.

Don't worry!!  Make sure your boy go to bed early the night before the interview.  I remember my girl went to DG's 1st interview at 8:15am last year.  I put her to sleep at 7:30pm the night before.

Again, the best of luck x n times to your boy.

My boy interview slot is also the earliest... 8:10am. Not only my boy, I will be ho sleep too.... Will try to get him in bed early the night before... but my older daughter will disturb him as she doesn't like him to go to bed before she does and she is like an owl.... She said that she didn't like to sleep.. OMG.

Yes, heavy school bag in primary. Big school bag on to a small body. But should be okay gah.. they are young. haha. my daughter said that she was powerful and full of strength that she could carry the big/heavy school bag. As for me, I tried to put it on to my back.. wow, ho heavy gah, maybe I am old gwa. My bones crackle crackle and crackle. = )

Wish you and your daughter a good school term in primary one.
