需要extend visa 嗎 ???
Hi 各位,
我剛收到學校寄給我的email, 內容如下 :
Dear Parents and Guardians
All non-European Economic Area (EEA) students coming to the UK to study require a student visa and the UK Border Agency (UKBA) now operates a points-based visa system (see http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/studyingintheuk/child-students/). Tier 4 of that system covers the issue of student visas and XXX School holds a category A (Trusted) Tier 4 licence from the UKBA enabling it to issue Confirmations of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to child students – those under the age of 18 at the time they are applying for, or extending, their visa.
Please note that at present we are unable to issue CAS to those aged 18 or over at the time they are applying for, or extending, a (general) student visa.
CAS take the form of a unique UKBA computer-generated reference number that you will need to submit with your child’s completed visa application and supporting financial documentation. Please refer to the UKBA website for details. Your child will not be able to obtain, or extend, a student visa without a CAS.
ACTION:
In order to generate the CAS we require a copy of your child’s passport – scanned or photocopied.
We understand from the UKBA that, once issued, a CAS is valid for six months and that students cannot apply for a visa more than three months before their course of study starts.
If your child’s visa needs extending, we look forward to receiving the copy of your child’s passport at your earliest convenience.
Finally, UKBA advice is that non-EEA students must carry with them at all times a letter from their parents giving consent to their child traveling to and from the UK, and setting our full contact details of the parents. Students without such consent letters run the risk of being detained on (re-)entry.
想問我囝2010年11月便18歲, 他的student visa 是屬於Child Student Visa, valid date 01/11/2011, 他需要重新apply general student visa 嗎?? |
