08/09 K1H Dorset campus 報到!!

Camom

Calix has fever since yesterday (up & down) and therefore didn't go to school today. The teacher of the school office said Calix can't go to school until next Monday because of the fever symptom.  Ms. Chan/Ms. Lam had arranged the homework to be done this week delivered by the school bus already.

As Calix can't go to school these few days, could any moms do a favor in updating me what have been learnt or asked to do in class.  Thanks!

Today Joyce told me the kids need to bring a leaf back to school.  At first, she asked me to bring only a star shaped leaf back to school, but after a while when I asked her again, she said any shape of leaf can bring back to school. Don't know which version is right?

Of course la, let Calix takes more rest la.  I will try my best to do it......but u know, Calix is the best information provider indeed.  So, I really hope he can go to school soon.  haha

Agree with Joyce's mum, Calix is the best information provider. Hope he can recover soonest!
Is he ok now? Any more fever?

Thanks for all your regards!  Calix has no more fever since yesterday night.  Yet, he has serious running nose now and poor appetite.  Hope he can get back to school on Monday!

hi so how did your parent's interview go ?  Ms chan said nicholas is a 少爺 and i totally agree :) so lazy and doesn't do anything on his own.  i must say that the teachers are very observative !!

I'm happy that Ms. Chan said Calix has shown improvements on verbal expressions, social skills and colouring works (his weakest part).  Yet, his self-management ability is still inadequate.  Ms. Chan said he's always slow in tidying up his things after snack time...needs teachers' help sometimes.

nicholas is a 少爺?:  But Fu Soen likes to play with him.  I don't know why she always mentions Nicholas after CNY.  I guess they both were in Watermelor group before CNY and apple group now.

Fu Soen mommy,
yes nicholas always mention Fu Soen as well.  he said she's the prettiest girl in the class :) Nicholas is now in the banana group but i think he looks fr Fu Soen at recess time and they sometimes play together.

Calix mommy,
you must be very glad that Calix has made improvements in many aspects.  Hope he can eat more and gain weight soon :) maybe give him more nutritious soup to drink, and does he like to eat apples ?  Apples are good in both chinese and western medicine as it is 健脾.

P is for a Police

Haha, Calix told me that P is for postman but he said "警察" in Cantonese then. I think he'd mixed up the meaning.

Calix just got the letter "O" sheets for the picture dictionary.  I'm surprised to hear Calix saying that a cow is different from an ox.  A cow produces milk while an ox helps the farmer in planting.

They'd also learnt 蟲：毛蟲 today.  Can anyone tell me what are the 配詞 for "男" and "女"?  Thanks.

He also said there's a new song...he'd just recited "bow wow wow, bow wow wow" and no more!

Did your kid ask you to bring photos of food (I remember that Alton's mom had mentioned this long long time ago)?  Calix asked me to prepare food photos for him yesterday.  I let him bring to school with the leaves today and the teachers did collect both stuffs.

Alton said P is a Policeman and a paper.... then he corrected and said "should be a piece of paper".

He didn't say anything to bring yesterday.  But I saw 2 or 3 food photos on the board on the parent's day.

Ms. Chan said on the parent's day that Alton requires more supervision on writing.... need to show him how to write a word one on one after she shows on the board.  She said his writing skill is fine according to his age, but, as I pick this school for him, he has to write earlier than others.  :(  Hope he can pick up writing skill faster la.

Alton said Ms. Chan had a discussion about plant yesterday.  She asked examples of plant to be grown on the plant.  He said "Veggie" and some students said corn, flower, etc.
