St Rose's Primary School is subsidised by govt. so we need to go to first run and second run.  They do not guarantee that all their kinder children can admit their primary school.

Yes, I am very lucky as 20 marks still need to enter the lucky draw in last year.  I think it will not be surprise as like St. Mary, they have so many applications.  You know, I had not let my girl to apply for any other school.  At that time, I just think if she failed in the 1st round, then we will have the 2nd round and 3rd round.  Wait until the result then act accordingly.  Worst come to worse is go to Our Lady's then apply to St. Rose for P.2..P.3..     I only felt a little bit panic when I reached the gate of MCS. However, since I did not put MCS as my dream school, but only changed of mind in the last 2 weeks due to the report in EMB.  So, I think if I failed in the 1st round, I will not try it again in the 2nd round and will then go back to St. Rose, it will be still fine for me.  其实我並不太執着要入到MCS, 所以無論結果是得或失我也可以接受. 不景這是參與這個大抽獎的遊戲規則。所以我跟所有問我的媽咪說要平常心去面對這個小一派位。不然,便應採取保守的策略去選擇學校。幾佰人揀的學校就一定會有大多數人是會失望而回，願意碰運氣便要有買六合彩的精神了。(所以我媽媽說我等如中了一次六合彩.     )

BTW, please count me for the X'mas party.  My husband is so busy recently that I don't think we can plan anything for the X'mas, so mostly we will only stay in HK.  

In order to attract more St. Rose KG parents to join this party, do you think we should post a new topic on BK for this issue?

My girl will start her Test week on tomorrow.  I will be very busy.  Poor me, without the maid, I feel run out of time in everything.  

Lastly, we received the notice from the new school bus company.  Any of you went to the meeting?  Please give comments.  The present school bus asked me if I want to continue to use them as 保母車 and they will only handle St. Rose students, so it will be just like right now.  I am tempted as I am very satisfied with their service.  Did your route tell you the same?  What is your decision?

You both are really very lucky as your children go to a good school and you both are not a working mother.  You can have more time to teach your children.  I have only few time to teach my daughter.  After work, I run back home and take dinner and only 1 hr left for me and Wai Wai to communicate.

I pray for your both children for a good result on their tests.

Hi, WaiMa,

Thank you very much.  I think Song is a working Mum so she has more hard time as she needs to work and monitor her girls plus organizes this party.  I think we feel much pressure than the kids as they don't know what will be the effect about the Tests.  Yesterday, I kept telling my girl to study her English but she only wanted to play the Internet games/reading.  Today, I must force her to study as she will have English Test on tomorrow, a lot of spellings la :cry:

From my personal experience, it will be really much better if one of the parent is not working to help the kids to study.  I can observe her performance in the homework and dictation so that I can help her in study.  I don't think the outside補習班can provide the same service unless they are in 1:1 ratio.  Originally, I planned to rest for 6 months to help my girl to adapt into her primary's life.  Now, I am not sure if I should start job seeking in 2006.  If I don't work, I won't have $$$ to spend........  Really want to find something which I can work at home or in the morning so that I can win in both ends.      

How about school bus??? Anybody has any comments about the new school bus arrangement?  I need to reply the EE before this week so that they can plan as well.  Therefore, I really appreciate those mums, whose has attended the meeting on last Friday, give me some idea about the new school bus company.  Thanks a lot!

We have enough parties to join the X’mas party. Now we have 38 pax. I am just greedy and want to invite some of my girl’s good friends on 26 Nov since I don’t have their numbers. You can do the same too on that day.

I only have a very simple CD player. Pls don't bring DVD. There is no DVD player even at the club house.

I don’t’ have maid for more than a year already. It works like a hell sometimes. BUT I am happy to see my girl can change and wash her own handkerchiefs everyday. She takes out her socks and uniform and tidy her schoolbag. This is really good. I don’t need to remind her. Result is better don’t have a maid.

For the school bus, I just call the driver. He told me that there will be all NEW faces after the Chinese New Year. The school had changed few times already last 2 years. BUT the driver and EE are still same. However, this time it is really a big change. The cars and also all the drivers and EE will be NEW. I would like to have some info. too from those mothers who had attend the meeting. Anyway, I choose the school one to avoid headache.

I didn't go to attend the new school bus meeting last Friday but I received the letter from them.  I report them I will attend the trial on 11 Dec so that I can know more about the new company.

Very sorry bcse I finally could not attend to the schoolbus briefing. First I was worried about the change of the bus bcse our route has been performed good; Later u conforted me, 'There is not much we can worry if this is already confirmed by the school... Changes, somehow may not be bad.' I talked with my husband & we both agreed that, we should be more optimistic.

Regarding the school bus issue, I did attend the meeting last Friday, not it did not go to conclusion.  The most important thing for the parents to do is to fill in their form and pass to them.  They will then see if they can adjust the bus fare or the route.  This new school bus company emphasis that filing this form is not a commitment to them for taking their bus, only estimate the number of students who wish to take the bus and to adjust the timing for picking up as well as the dropping off points.  There should be another form for the parents later on (this time will be for the parents to confirm where they take the bus or not).

During the meeting last Friday, I can say most of the parents are asking bull ####s.... just like "Can you guarantee the driver will not chat with the EE?" or "How many female drivers that you have in your company?" or "Change the school bus trial date to a weekday?" and of course some of the parents also concern of the bus fare and the time for picking up and dropping off.

好好笑...其實我一D中文打字都唔識,就係因為想係呢到同大家傾計時易D表達到自己嘅意思才學打咋!总共(練習)學咗3-4星期,係我個同事借一張字形表給我然後我逐一逐一咁學架咋! 而家終於學識啦! 係就係打得慢D,不過表達到自己嘅意思時就覺得好開心
呢個星期我要保住Haya嘅健康,為咗去星期六旅行呀嗎...!
