Yesterday my son had 視藝 lesson and submitted the drawing he finished at home to the teacher.  However, the teacher told him to re-draw it because it is too ugly....    He told us there were about 10 students in his class needed to re-draw...

If the teacher still thinks it's too ugly, does he need to re-draw it again and again??

Started to ask him 溫書 at home everyday and will also start to 溫書 at weekend.  But remember kids can't focus for too long, maybe 溫 for half hour and take a rest for 15 mins.   Don't push them too much.

I asked Byron he said no one in his class was being rejected for the drawing submitted.  Or he did not pay attention whether there is any.

Teacher has comment on my son's drawing as below:

Don't draw the "match man" and colour the beach

and the need to be re-submit on 29 Oct.  However, teacher has not give my son new drawing paper.  Does it mean he just need to colour the beach and re-draw the people on the old drawing?

Good guess!   環保 ma!  You can ask Jason just color the beach and add a swimming trunk and face for that match man.  Or to put a hat or sunglasses.....something like that just to make the drawing more 豐富.   Byron even put number on each yacht and there are more than 5 yachts in the sea and the yachts are in different color.   I think that's is the reason he can pass the teacher... In fact I don't think his drawing is good but for a P1 student, it's OK.   As his mother is very bad in drawing , so he won't inherited that kind of talent from me...

I saw the drawing tonight and there are eyes and smiles on the match men faces but the yachts just have outline but not coloured.  1/4 of the beach is coloured.  The people seems to be too small to add clothes....

Most special is the colour of the sky, it's purple!  Jason said it's because of the 煙霞...   There are also some landslide symbols and volcano on it and also in purple!  So creative and 無聊!

I also draw things badly... but Jason seems to be too 求其... not just in P1 but also in K1 to K3

Thanks for your information.  I'll ask my son once more.  I also think the standard of this teacher seems to be quit high.  But are we talking about the same teacher?  Are all P1 class having the same 視藝 teacher?

我對美術原本都無咩天份，但跟得亞女去畫班多，都get到d通常老師對小朋友畫crayon畫的要求：
用pencil to draw outline is 大忌，must use 淺色crayon (maybe light yellow) to 起個草縞(outline)，上色後可就返d位畫用同色系畫返個outline(例如粉紅色花用深紅色'群'邊)。有時撞色仲靚(eg. yellow T-shirt 用green outline)。只要唔好黑線'錢'身(use pencil to draw the outline)，成幅picture的感覺都唔同晒。
另外，試下唔好留咁多白底，(eg: 個天個海都油晒佢，唔好白底+公仔only)。
仲有，用同色系做漸變(eg: 大陽，中心red, and then orange, outside yellow, 同用紙巾or 手指混合個分界)

Your kid also in 1C.... nice to meet you and hope you visit this topic more.  It seems to be to quiet here.

I think I will not talk to the teacher this time, but if this happen continuously, maybe I will.

Last oral lesson teacher asked them to have other students phone number and later some of my son's clasemate called him, they talked for a while.  But later when we asked him who he was talking to and he told us he didn't know!!    So funny for the kids......

My son is not interested in drawing and even colouring. Everytime ask him to fill in the colour or draw something, he just don't want to and sometimes even colour all the things in 1 colour!!    But I'll still try your method.  Hope he will be better later.:loveliness:

School teacher in KTS maybe doesn't mind since he/she had not pointed out the purple sky...

My son likes to draw the heavy rain, typhoon, landslind on all his drawings even the topic didn't match...   He doesn't care about that.

以我所知, 係佢地畫每一幅畫之前, 老師係會教佢地一d技巧, 所以你會見佢地有本黃色嘅視藝簿, 練習所學嘅技巧, 而畫每一幅畫之前, 老師都會講呢幅畫嘅主題, 要求等等.....例如唔可以用黑色筆畫 outline.....你地係咪都應該了解下點解小朋友唔清楚老師嘅要求, 上堂嗰陣做緊咩? 聽唔明定係聽唔到? 冇理由每幅畫都要家長打電話去問老師, 係咪

I think the size should be C4 (290x380mm).  I brought his old drawing with me and checked it with the drawing paper in the book store...

Probably you're right. After I bought the drawing paper, I found it is much larger than B4.

Any maybe your child doesn't need a new paper if he can solve the problems on his original paper. Mine has to draw on a new one because the teacher said his pencil trace blended with the color is not allowed.
