I bought the winter PE uniforms for my girl last Thur, they had 現貨 at the shop.  I also picked up the winter uniforms for my girl last Thur, they said they reserved some 現貨 at the shop for walk-in customers too.

Yes, they provide 現貨 there, you can go with your lovely girl.

I enrolled the C.U.E.A already.  My girl seems interest for internet homework.  She spents 5 mins per day for 中文8寶箱.  What I think is as long as they are interest, they will put more effort on it and apparently, fruitful result can be seen.  I wish C.U.E.A. can offer "Chinese" course too.

So, they may change to winter uniform on 11/7 instead.

Last year, they don't have the CUEA English Adventure Course.  So, I have no comment on it.  

However, I enrolled it this year as the charge is not expensive and my girl likes to play computer games.  Since she needs to do the 中文8寶箱 and maths calculation in the internet.  So, she can do all these together.

There is a brief introduction in their website.  You can have a look on it first.

We will need to install a microphone for the computer to record their speaking in order complete the assignments of CUEA EAC.  Not sure how they operate, but I can let my younger one listen to this course as well.  So, I will give it a try.

Thanks very much for your feedback on both the CUEA program and the winter uniform.

I finally decided to enroll my girl on the CUEA program to see what's in it for her (and me ).

琴棋書, I do share your point that we shall keep computer usage to minimal at their young age. So I have been very conscious about the time she can spend on a computer each day.

However, I do believe that eLearning has it's potential for certain learning, language is one of those.    

My struggle is more on the extra workload. Hope I can be relax on that.

When you say "Maths calulation on the internet" do you mean we have to hand in as MCS homework??  is that MCS homework or additional work apart from the school?  I want to make sure whether my girl has missed handing in anything to the teachers.  

Regarding to the  中文8寶箱 , my girl takes around 30 mins (sometimes more) with my assistance to finish it.  She has difficulties in vocabs and phrases.  HappyTogether You are so lucky that your daughter is doing such great work.

I have also joined the C.U.E.A.  I think 90 mins/week shouldn't be hard as they are slowly getting used to learning through English.  Lets see how they progress in 4 months!

Don't worry, you don't miss anything.  Just that my girl is very careless on calculation,  I found her a website to do the calculation on daily basic.  This website is good as she can do it online and submit the answers for checking.  After doing this for a while, I can understand better how she makes those errors and remind her.  Doing this really help.  You may like to give it a try.

Dear friends

Just a note of sharing about our 2nd P1 challenge after the dictations.

"I have one question I don't know.  Does "more than" mean plus? "    
Mum: "It depends on the how the sentence says.  Don't worry.  It is common that students may have 1 or 2 questions can't answer in test.   You're doing well. "
  
" But that question counts for 16 marks."     :cry:  
Mum:  "It'll be fine.  Overall speaking, do you think that you are doing OK? "

"Mm... ... ...yes, overall, it's OK    


Glad that she feels OK.  I belief that is more important than the mark.  Eager to get the feedback from the first quiz, which help us to have a better understanding on whether she manages to adapt the new academic environment.  I wonder how did she pay attention to the mark for the question during the quiz?

I recalled the class teacher in the briefing advised that the little girls have been giving sufficient pressure in school.  So, we should not stress them further, instead, kisses and hug may do.

Hi, Chloe-cyrus,

Luckily, my girl has not apply sick leave so far, so I don't know if my answer is correct.  

From the information I gathered during parents' day and the handbook, sick leave must have doctor's cert to support.  So, why don't you ask the doctor to give a cert to cover today & tomorrow instead?  (Please refer to Point C4 on P.12 of handbook.)

If the sick leave is on a "test" day, please refer to Pint D3 on P. 10 of handbook.  If there is dictation, the student will just skip the dictation, no re-dictation will be arranged.  The dictation mark show on the report is an average of all the dictations taken, so I think it will just skip and don't count that dictation into the report.
