ICS Parents

I visited the ICS kinder last week, I love it much as the principal is very nice and the curriculum designed is very chidlren-oriented. I don't know whether my kid can be accepted or not. Of course I hope he can get a place there, but I wonder if there is school bus service to Hung hom where we live. I don't want my kid to travel a long distance to & from school.
Anyone knows? thanks

I know that the school bus also go to Lam Tin. May be it will go to Hung Hom too. However, the time for travel is very long (>45 mins from Lam Tin)!

聽說由於ICS是美國制, 所以上到中學後, 都有很濃厚的美制教學, 如歷史等都只讀美國歷史, 不會讀世界其他歷史, 其實ICS的媽咪有沒有這方面憂慮呢?, 由於我也正考慮ICS, 想聽吓你地意見。

May I know the standard of other languages, Music, P.E? And how to give mark to the child. I'm afraid that there is no any guildline to teacher.

For reception level, the school follow the Biblical foundation for Early childhood foundation. I think it is the guildline.

May I know what will be the kid asked to do in the interview? And wil the teacher interview the parents as well? If yes, what will they usually ask?

Hello ICS parents,

I am considering to leave ICS after one years' study in pre-grade 1 and change to local HK schools, just because of the economy downturn. When should I give notice to school? I remember ICS said one must study for at least one year in order to get back the full amount of debenture. Am I right? Is a two month advance notice require? Then should I give notice to school in April or in Jun? Please advise.
