Going to one school in the morning? and another one in the afternoon?  WOW!  too much lah!!

St Jo change to DSS school?  I really have no idea on this! (I am a very 遲鈍 mom)  As long as my boy can get a seat in the Primay, I ......

By the way, (I know it might not be a good time to ask this since you guys are still busy on the DSS matter) anyone knows when the final exam starts?  End May? Mid June? End June? Or early July?

No idea ah but I think school will give advance notice on the exam schedule, just like what they did for last semester.

Do you know what's the school time of K3 ??      I only know the class will be in p.m. jar

Hi, youngmami,

I think the school time for K3 will be starting around 1-1.30pm, coz my boy's school bus takes the K3 students the same time as they drop off my boy. (The school bus arrives in my place at around 12.20)

My friend, he want to give his son to apply k2.. Now, he need to choose the Kindergarten for K1.. Any comments for St. Margaret (Happy Valley) or SKH (Mt. Butler) ?  Which one is bigger chance to take a seat into St. Joseph???

I don't think there is great relation to which K1 the kids were studying. My personal feeling jar.

Yes agree.  Which K1 doesn't matter much.

In summer my boy will go to Canada to visit his grand grand parents (my grand parent), stay there for the whole summer

Personally I think such arrangement is not good !! I think even adult would feel tired if a.m. go to one school then p.m. go to another school.

Why you have pay K2 學費 ?  I think the HKD660 is for seat reservation only.  You have pay HKD2xxx ?

We didn't buy the schoolbag on register day.  Can anyone advise where can we by the schoolbag ?  Same place as where we go to buy the uniform ?

   I am also try to find the summer programe for my son. But I am busy now. I remember I had alread a
   simple plan for summer progame at this time in the last year. Now, I am search some playing course or day camp for summer.

For all the momies whose kid have studied in St Jo Kinder for one year, what is your overall comments ?  Since there are both pros and cons comments at 2 extremes, so I think you are the most qualified person to make the comments.

e.g.

- compare to the K1 kinder, do you still think it is correct that you make the change for your son to study at St Jo

- what has St Jo. inspired your kid that you think, that may not be found in other kinder.

- for academic, overall : too hard, too easy or just right ?

- any particular comments in Chinese, Eng or Math

- anyone need to get private turtor already ?

My boy will attend the school in Sep. when we take our kids to the school , are we allow to take them directly to the clasroom and accompany them for a while?  Or do we have to drop them off  by the school entrance? Thanks for your help!!

For the school bag & uniform, better ask school.

I remember for the 1st day, 1 parent was allowed to take your boy to the classroom, stay for a while.  2nd day and after, not allowed.

But this is the case for last year, don't know if there is any change this year.

Here're my comments:-
1) compare to the school where my boy had his K1 study, my choice is correct.  St. Jo. is more suitable to my boy.

2) not in the position to comment because I don't know what other kindergartens doing.  

3) can't give an overall assessment.  I think the level of studies is not very difficult but teachers' quite strict in discipline and correctness of hand writing.

4) as above

5) no private tutor.  my boy was sent to some extra-curricular activities eg. drawing, swiming, piano etc.  

Hope the above will help.  

Last but not the least, every boy has their own character, one's apple is another's poison.  I think the school fits my boy but it doesn't mean that the school also suits your boy.

Just take it easy.  St. Jo. is a quite 'normal' and 'standard' and 'traditional' kinder (just like the kindergartens we attended at our childhood time, you can imagine that).  It's nothing 'alien'.
