Hi Minggrace,

My girl is also a K2 student of TY ESF,  I have the same query as you about the place for the interview.
I still remembered the teacher has mentioned in the
orientation day that the P1 interview will take place
in the kindergarten and it would absolutely advantage for our kids. So I am not sure if their interview policy has changed recently.

I would be appreciate if anyone knows this issue and share the comments with us

Our interview date will be on Jan 18 2007 in BHS.

How should we prepare our kids before the interview date? Bring them to the school beforehand? Any thoughts please share, thanks!

What s good question to ask !

My girl's interview date will be on Jan 18 in BHS.
I have received an interview schedule from the kindergarten in late Dec 2006. I noticed that my girl will have the interview with 3 boys together in a group whose are her classmate from the same class of the kindergarten.

I just come up an idea that I should arrange a play date for these 3 boys & my girl before the interview day, let them play nicely with each other and build up
a good friendship.

I have also went to BHS once with my girl last saturday, since my girl has joined the ESF spring term class on every saturday in BHS. She was very happy with her first lesson in BHS. In this coming saturday, she will attend her second lesson. So I think she will not be afraid to the envoirment where her interview take place.

I think if you could bring your child to the primary school beforehand is really an good idea. BTW, when & where
will your kid's interview scheduled ?

I just received a letter of inviting parents to attend a pre-interview meeting at SJS. I wonder if it's an interview for parents. But I think it's a good idea for parents to meet the school staff and teachers in order to learn more about the school. I'm looking forward to the pre-interview meeting.

tyli: It's a great idea to sign up the child at a course held at your target ESF primary school! You are lucky to be able to have the interview schedule from ESF Kindergarten too. I signed up my child to a sports camp held at Bradbury. His interview date is at the end of the month.

My friend's child is not a ESF student and she doesn't
offer an interview by ESF primary school so far.

Can somebody share his/her experience in details with interview at KJS please? How about other ESF primaries? When children are assessed during an informal play situation, what will be tested?  How many children will be grouped together?  How long will the interview last?  Will parents be interviewed as well?

Hi tyli: My kid is not studying at an ESF kinder, that's why we didn't get any interview schedule. Has the  ESF primary school staff went to ESFTY to observe your child in class yet? Some went to my kid's kinder today.

I agreed with tyli's strategies as kid's performance during the interview is totally unexpected and unforeseeable.

My son is studying in ESFTY K1 and I have enrolled him to ESF's saturday's english program held in my target primary school - SJS so as to enable him to familiar with the environment there.

My son quite enjoy and loves the school after 2 lessons there.  So I hope that he can enter the school next year.
