我個小朋友interview完糖同貼紙都冇...

不過佢話俾我聽，首先係一班小朋友o係playground玩足球，玩完就上班房畫畫，之後就要去另一間班房個別interview。o係佢間interview room入面，有佢同另一個小朋友，分別由兩位老師同佢地玩。玩完就去一間大房度等爹哋媽咪o黎接番。成個過程佢都係開心o既。

其實雖然優才收左我個小朋友，但我仲未決定交唔交留位費。因為旺角校舍既location真係唔係太好，但睇bk既家長都讚呢間學校，所以我好想大家俾下意見我呀！

Actually I have the same concern as you previously.  However, after I have a site visit in the MK campus on interview day, I am impressed by its facility.  As spoke by Principle, the facility is really tailor made for junior primary (P1-P3).
Moreover, I do think software of a school is much important than its hardware.  Don't know you are agree or not.

When did you take the interview? 8 July or 9 July 2006?  Mine was 9 July 2006.  As it was raining on 9 July 2006, I didn't see the children playing football but they did play some ball games (passing the ball around the group) in the covered playground.  Afterwards, parents left the covered playground and went to visit the school facilities.  My son did not tell too much about the interview and he just told me the teacher asked him some simple questions in English.

When I took him back from the waiting room, he showed me a candy that was given by the teacher.  Before we stepped out from MK campus, there were some small gifts on a table for my son to choose.  He was really happy there.

Though GT may have rooms for further improvement, there are less bad comments for this school in this forum.  If you see other threads, there are really very extreme comments about some new schools e.g. Logos, Pegasus i.e. some are very good and some are very bad.  Of course I don't know the true facts but at least there is no such case for GT at the moment.  This is one of the reasons I choose GT.  

Hope other dads and mums also express their views.

我小朋友係8號interview既，因為冇落雨既關係，所以佢地可以o係playground分兩team鬥射波。我都係得閒問d得閒問d先可以重組案程情，知道成個interview既過程架咋

其實每一間學校都有優點同缺點，不過我真係要諗清楚自己既小朋友適合讀邊一類型既小學先可以決定。

其他既家長，又有冇咩意見可以分享呢？

Hi All,

This is my first post in BK. My daughter will be adimitted to MK GT school. Please count me to the list and I am a responsible papa too.

For the issue of school bus, I have called the teacher for admission and she said there will be little issue for transportation from MK to TKO(I live in TKO too) as there are more and more students in TKO who will go to MK GT school.

Also, she told me that if I want to switch to TKO GT school, my daughter will need to give up the seat in MK and will be on waiting list for TKO. Of course, I will keep the offer and going to reserve the seat for my daughter.

Anyway, we are happy for the MK school and the MK school is much better than our expectation.

There is no such perfect school for all children. As a responsible parents, we do think the most important is to choose the BEST to suit your children needs and characters.

Welcome ngkf !!  So you also make up your mind to enroll in GT??

For parents, we have always concerns in different kinds of aspects in our child's development especially education - one of the most important part of our life. Hope all the parents have selected the most suitable school for their children.

Parent List is update

It would be a concern if there is issue on school bus, but nevermind, I will try to discuss with school, may be on registration day.

Personally speaking, I will not give up MK seat, put me back into waiting list and facing the risk of fail.  I don't think MK campus is worse than TKO campus given it is more suitable for junior primary.  Moreover, in long run, our children will go back to TKO campus 3 years later.

I think you are quite lucky already as they will anyway move back to TKO 3 years later. I'm living in HK island. I doubt if there will be any school bus coming to HK Island (other than Eastern side). We probably need to move to somewhere else before starting the school term in 07. More complicated is that after 3 years, we need to move again!!! 孟母三遷現代版. It's really a headache for us.

However, as some of you have commented, it is most important to find the best and suitable school for the kid.

遲o左報到添 。小女也被優才取錄了(TKO校)，明天會到優才留位。優才是我首選，我唔打算再找其他小學啦。

我明天大概4:15pm到優才留位，看看明天會否見到你o地啦!

Hi weewaa,

Same as you, I'm also living in HK Island.  We're planning to move to TKO before the school term in 07.  As I know that there'll be school bus travelling from TKO to MK, so we don't need to move again after 3 years.  

I will be registered at MK campus tomorrow at around 3:30pm, how about you?  I'm really very excited that our kids will be classmates very soon!

我選優才主要係因為覺得優才適合我個女，佢好鍾意活動教學，又成日問問題同發表意見，仲有時挑戰老師 ，要佢坐定定學習會無心機，傳統小學一定唔適合佢。再加上我自已好認同發展多元智能，又希望佢多參加課外活動，因此選擇o左優才。

而且我好同意afsl所講，優才在網上的評價總體上已好好，無好極端的情况。而且睇得出校方有決心改善學生的操行(操行要達到B級才可升G7)。所以我決定要小女入優才啦。

講開又講，面試當日家長面見部份老師都無乜問我同我太太問題，一開始睇一睇我o地份意向書，話o的家長都好勤力(我o地份意向書都答得幾長)，記憶中只問o左我o地覺得優才那一特點我o地認為最重要，之後就問我o地有乜問題。見o左十分鐘左右就完o左。我接個女時佢又唔係特別開心，又唔見有貼紙或印，佢又唔講面試做o左乜(只知道有踢波)。

不經不覺間優才書院07年家長list 已經有10人了,如果first round 收生是48人, 已上黎say hi 的都有5份1. 可見babykingdom的受歡迎, 和各家長對子女的關心.

Hi all,

Affirmative, I will register tomorrow.

For the issue of school bus between MK and TKO, I think there will be no issue on 2007 because there will be two classes of P2 and two classes of P1. There should be enough students from kowloon east and TKO to accomodate a school bus or nursary van.

However, there will be some issues for parents who are living in TKO and joining activities on MK. There will be issue for me as MK has lot of toy and computer shops...

My daughter has already adopt to study far from home and the arrangement is applicable to her. She smiles everytime when we talk about her primary school. We think we will be regressed if we take an unnecessary risk.

Hong Kong will host East Asian games and TKO will have one big sport site in three years(I see they are doing the foundation construction today). I think the facility of TKO will be more complete and compatible to other disticts(since many facilities has been aborted or downgraded after retirement of urban concil) so you may consider estate by SHK and Taikoo if you want to move to TKO.
