謝謝你們的討論,從中解決自己不少的疑惑.

其實仔仔的數書題目用以下形式問問題:-

聖誕樹上有9種不同顏色的小球,每種顏色有7個,共有小球多少個?

共有小球:

_____  x  _____

= ______ (個) (但現任老師及另一位老師都說不用"個"字)

起初我仔仔的答案(老師要他們另薄要有直式作答):-

9 x 7
= 63
共有小球63個

但老師話錯,冇分要改正如下:

7 x 9
=  63
共有小球63個

有時覺得小朋友讀書只能根據老師學校的要求.印象深刻是以前隨手以習慣形式教仔仔寫中文字,如大眾的"眾",以前我們寫時有一撇,但教科書則沒有,如果仔仔跟我一樣,試過當錯字冇分,還給仔仔說媽媽教錯.無奈.

很佩服你的學習精神,相信你仔仔得益不少.有時我也想將問題深究,與仔仔討論.能夠啟發小朋友思考,不人云亦云其實很重要.可惜自己學識,眼光未能做到及魄力不夠,知易難行.

My daughter is studying K2.  Last night I read this topic and found interesting.  The following is my interpretation:

One tree with 9 different colours of balls, each colour with 7 balls
So for example we have :

Red : 7 balls
Orange : 7 balls
Green: 7 balls
White : 7 balls
Brown : 7 balls
Black : 7 balls
Pink : 7 balls
Yellow : 7 balls
Blue: 7 balls

Total no. of balls in the tree will be:

7balls+7balls+7balls+7balls+7balls+7balls+7balls+7balls+7balls

It means that you have to add 7 balls for 9 times.  To express this situation, it will be 7ballsx9=63 balls

Frankly this is my interpretation.  By the way, I did not expect the maths question in primary school to be interpreted like that.  Personally I think either 7x9 or 9x7 will do the job since the question was asking how many balls and the answer is 63 from either ways.  Perhaps I have to change my attitude of primary education and treat it very very seriously.
