Totally agree.
That's why i resigned last May and been a full time mom.
Anyway, my BB has been accepted by both SC and KV. My preference is SC. First, my BB is very shy and i don't want her " shy" character being enforced under KV disciplinary and mechanical approach. Second, being a full time mom, i do like to share her school life and activities during these three years. However, my hubby likes KV for its high academic level in all aspects. So i think i will pay reservation fee on both schools so to let me have much more time to consider. Every opinion from all of you is welcomed.
As being a full time mom of one child, I would like to share my experience. Sorry, my daughter isn't studing in SC nor KV because I let my daughter chose from the list of schools accepted her and she didn't choose any of these two.
" First, my BB is very shy and i don't want her " shy" character being enforced under KV disciplinary and mechanical approach. "
I think you have preconception on this point. Is there any chance that disciplinary and mechanical approach can enhance the kid's knowledge and, in turn, help in the self-confidence development of your kid ?
I understand that it is a great pleasure for a mother to share her kid's school life and activities. But there may be a side effect that the kid will become very dependent. On the other hand, you still have plenty of time with your daughter in the after-school activites.
I am not suggesting that your choice of SC is not good. I just want to suggest some point of view in other angles.
I believe both SC and KV are good. The most important is which is the most suitable for the kid. Every kid has his/her owned character and different kids like different type of kinder. Do you talk to your daughter about her impression of these schools? May be she can make the decision for you.
I always remind myself, "Don't be too concentrate on what I think is the best for my kid, just ask her what she think and listen to the reason."
As Ron said, the most important is the caring of the family. I believe there will not be a big difference in graduated form either schools for your daughter because she has a caring mother.
p.s. I guessed you kid is a girl because you used the word "her".[/quote] |
