我今日都同囡囡int 完kent.但我可能比較好彩．int 1:15pm, １：００去到，好快就入得，成個過程都係十幾分鐘，個老師多好好笑容，我個囡都有答晒d問題，但有冇答錯，有d我就聽唔到啦，因為我同個老師傾緊，都有叫囡囡唱歌，我個囡都係冇唱，最後老師叫我一齊唱，奌知我個囡唔唱，反而拍手，真係比佢激死 但so far, 我都覺得ok la, 其實大家都知佢地係traditional, 學校冇mug佈置, 都唔覺得有mug 出奇．．
interview 真係好講luck, 我個囡昨天int st cat, 老師冇mug 笑容，所以我個囡對個老師的問題冇反應，唔答．問咗好耐，佢先答，一d都唔開心，最開心就係同個老師講bye bye囉．．

I think there is something wrong with the system here.  This point is what the kindergarten can provide to my child.  Not my child need meet a certain criteria in order to be admit to the kindergarten.  In view of the question that provide by other mommy.  I am not very happy with Kentville.  

In my point of view, those questions should be ask by parents.

1.  How can the school help if my child not completely potty  train.  You know kids only 3 years old may have accident.

2.  What will the school do if my child cannot sing.  How can they teach them to sing.

3.  What they will do if my child was sick at school.

But the question they ask is the other way round.  If my child know so many things already.  Do I still need to put her in a kindergarten??? My child is only 2 years old and I expect her to be happy at school.  The question they ask are quite nonsense.

Also my friend is a "non famous" kindergarten teacher and I ask her opinion.  She told me that Kentville will kick out some student which is not very smart and only pay attention to the smart kid.  I have applied for Kentville too and will go there for an interview.  But after what i heard, I really don't want my child to go to such kind of school. :evil:  :evil:  :evil:

我囡囡今日 2:30 in 完根德園,我覺得佢地啲老師真係怪怪地(in 個個先生搵本簿遮住唔比人見到佢寫mug),户外遊樂設施少,時間真係好趕,一坐低就即刻問問題,佢叫我個囡拼圖,我都睇吾到佢對地錯,但佢比我想像中少人,我囡囡表現好好,叫佢唱歌佢都唱,但我都吾係好明点解要再去交表,又比糖囡囡食,根住個老師等你掉轉背,就係張 form 到寫嘢,事後我問囡囡鍾意依間學校多啲定祟真(現讀)多啲,佢話 like 祟真,祟真靚啲,所以如果佢收我都會唸下先

今早帶左囡囡去Kentville面試，
由我地踏入校門至in完離開，
前後不超過廿分鐘，
但比我印象真係麻麻，
D interviewer 好似趕收工咁，
囡囡今朝又不在狀態唔係條條問題都肯答，
D老師似乎無乜耐性等小朋友答問題，
但囡囡都肯唱歌 / 拍返好張chair /
另一位老師比candy我個女亦肯say thank you，
final就算收都決定唔讀，
我都係抱住曾經到此見識過就算la!

My husband and my daughter both like SC more after the interviews. My daughter told us that she wanted to cry when having interview at Kentville wor. She didn't cry but looked very scared. Her voice was soft. Anyway, she was afraid of the teachers that she didn't point to her ear and touch her head.... My concern is that the teacher didn't ask my daughter to sing. When my husband told me that she wasn't asked to sing... I was thinking that they were not interested in my daughter. I think that my daughter did quite okay as she told the important teacher her name and said thank you and bye bye, etc.
I like the campus of Kentville because more fresh air; however, really really traditional --- old style....
Nothing had changed over these 20+ years.

可能咁啱我細仔剛睡醒心情靚, 所以很快便完成老師要求他做的事, 亦能即時回答問題, 所以老師未變臉, 仍有笑容, 好彩!

點解無媽媽說老師叫小朋友錫佢? 淨係抽我個仔水? 蝕底晒!

面試真係好講運氣, 既然考完就不要再想了, 妳應該有見多幾間吧! 聽說今年出生率是歴年最低, 機會不是沒有的.  我想還有很多學校有學位, 好像我細仔見咗幾間都ok, 所以沒有帶細仔去見york, 後來學校過幾天再打電話給我想另約時間.

我就是怕我細仔睡不好發脾氣, 所以昨日我讓細仔睡了兩個多小時才去面試, 我揀佢好過佢揀我嘛!

你地用"工廠"黎形容真係好貼切, 真係一邊 input 一邊output .    可能一日要見好多家長所以"d"老師都好似有"d" "ma 目"仲好趕時間吓.

我仲遇到個好無禮貌既老師 tim, 我同亞仔係出面度排隊時 有個老師走出黎叫"d"家長"me"左張 form 既左下角出黎, 可能佢覺得斎講"d"家長唔明, 當時我個仔手上"渣"住張form佢問到無問就一手"蚊"走左我個仔張form 走去同後面"d"家長講,可憐既係我個仔只係擘大個口望住我又望住個老師"力"走佢張 form   ,  個老師講完一輪先"力"住張form 話:張 form 係邊個架,佢睇到無睇過張form上面張相去嘗試認返個小朋友去比返佢,仲連唔該都無聲反過黎我就好似佢幫我執返張form o甘唔該佢 . 可能我呢個只係個別事件亦唔能夠代表呢間幼稚園既老師好唔好, 但呢次 interview 比我既感覺好差.

事後我都檢討一下點解我囡囡會唔出聲,見其他學校唔同o既地方就係小朋友冇玩佢鍾意0既0野先,如果佢o地玩一下玩具先,佢又真係會活潑D架喎!所以我絕對同意你o既講法.
總括而言,呢次面試只係覺得好辛苦,大熱天時,靜係o係度曬!不停係度流汗!我同囡囡都冇哂心機!

I was there for Haley's interview today. her performance was not good since she was looking for her daddy when she was having a interview. She even try to escape to find daddy.. In fact, she is quite good during her nursery and playgroup time..so poor, so child having interview is really depends on your luck.

she could only answered few questions but she insist refused to sing in front of 2 teachers. But she performed quite good in front of the 'exit' elder teacher. I don't think Haley will be accepted by Kent and hope she can perform better for the following interviews.

The atmosphere during the queue was quite nervious and the decoration and faciilities for kent are too old, it is a typically 'traditional school', or they might consider to have a renovation to make the school become more attractive.

Thanks for other BK mami's tips and they are really useful and "accurate"

do you know how they English level are???? Do you think Keen mind and Kentiville which one is better??
