dgjs？唔會係我d女讀的，但唔覺德望有何不及! 亦未留過口水去恨窩 !相反 ，大女去考外國學校 亦無比任何一個讀其他名校有差別，而小女只係德望係中上，對此，我對德望的教育真係好滿意 !

中學呢 ？我所有女兒亦唔會係香港讀架啦，就算dgs / spc/ ghs 有幾好 對我都影嚮唔大架啦! 我跟本無需hardsell 啦 ! 講的乃事實你唔中意都無計，你人身攻擊都無用，事實就係事實 !

多謝你分享左德望既情況。其實我好鍾意德望架!我都唔只一次聽到有人話DGJSd女仔比較寸同snobbish(我信有d真係咁架!不過唔會係全部)。但係德望d女仔就純樸d,我有好多鄰居個女讀緊德望,佢地都好乖,好向學。

Hi Justamom,

We have no background too and connection too.  So do give it a try.

I heard that for P2-P6, the child has to attend a written exam on Chinese, English and Maths.  So your child has to demonstrate academic competence.  Beware that the English of most Chinese Primary School is fairly easy, but it is fine if your son is attending an English Primary School already.  I always find the best test for suitability for high standard schools is the child's learning attitude - if he is self-driven and motivated, but not force feed by parents.  One of the motto of the school is Work Hard and Be Happy.   

Of course, prizes demonstrating his outstanding performance in extracurricular activities, e.g. music and speech, will help too.  If you miss the School Speech Festival, the Schools Music Festival is open for enrollment next week (See www.hksmsa.org.hk.)  Your son may also join the RTHK Children Story Telling competition through the school.

Sorry that I don't really know much as my daughter has only studied in one of the school for one month.  Here is the little information I may provide :-

1. The Kennedy Rd. school seems more popular and has more applicants.  Its interview requires playing an innovative game but not in the MacDonnell Rd school.

2. The Kennedy Rd school has dance in its extra-curricular activities (ECA).  The Macdonnell Rd school has two free ECA for kids after lunch each week, including English Drama, sports activities, book writing, choir, English phonics, etc. to choose from.

3. The campus of the MacDonnell Rd school seems bigger.

唔好意思. 但係dgs sports+music都肯定唔係全香港第一
第一的是協恩. 連續22年拎girls school top honor award, dgs年年居第二第三架咋...
我會choose SPCC, acadamics+英文都好過dgjs, 而且d學生冇咁, well, no offense, but conceited. 小心既就係佢地都比較有錢, 會較為物質主意化

Dear all BK parents,
I feel a bit upset after reading the above discussions.
I always apprecipate this discussion forum which provides opportunity for the BK parents to share their opinions and informations concerning primary education. However, it will be a pitty if the discussion can not be conducted in a logical and peaceful way.

Many parents always like to make comparisons between different schools. However, in my opioion,  each primary school has their own mission, teaching style, strong and weak areas. It is difficult, and also unfair to compare and make comments like "which one is better than the other".
The personality, characters and ability of your child should also be considered in order to choose a primary school suitable for him/her. The school and your child should be matched!!
Therefore, no one can give anybody a definite answer of whcih school is better, because even though their child or friend's child or relative's child studies well in that school doesn't mean that your child will get the same result.
What I suggested is that parents should assess carefully their own child's characteristics, and collect detailed information of the school so as to find out the correct matching between the school and their child.
