SPCC 講座解說係佢地既畢業生用DSE and IB 同樣具競爭力，獲得既國際offer 可証明。
但呢方面係因為佢地畢業生在國外大學有長久track record. 如果一般學校報國外知名大學，可能IB 會較好。

其實留港工作，法律或其他專業都以「光速」與大陸接軌。所以，中文唔得無運行係預期之中。
不過，話說回來，如果中文普通英文太差，在大量陸軍來港下，更加毫無差異性，欠缺優勢。

For most top US universities, SAT / ACT results are highly preferable if not mandatory. No matter you study IB or DSE.

For UK universities, the recognition of DSE is almost the same as IB. In most cases, the conditional offers for DSE students are indeed very reasonable.

We should see IB or DSE just as a means to an end. It's hard to say which one is better than the other. Having said that, the study, assessment and examination methods of these two curricula are very different. Students should choose the curriculum they are confident to perform well.

In general, IB is a better choice for those students prefer continuous assessments than make-or-break open examinations, essay writing instead of pass paper drilling and with better family support, and vice versa.

Over the years, we have seen many DSE top scorers from grassroots families, but this seldom happens in the IB.

This is because apart from some DSS, no publicly funded schools in Hong Kong offer IB. IBO's May 2025 exam statistics showed that 40% of schools taking the IB exam were state schools.

其實係咪考英國大學比較清晰，標準公開試的作用也較大呢？
相對地，考美大好像不是一味看公開試，要看人設和中學成績。

這樣，在應考的大學比較有往績的中學，是否會較有優勢？

另外，關於IB少草根，除左有版友指出沒有資助學校提供IB課程外，ib 要求的雙語要求（含外語），特別較廣的知識面，都是中產以上家庭較有機會提供的條件吧。

Esf 7間學校先得70個壯元榜眼，假設九成讀兩大medicine.... 其實成功率低過d band 1a 學校dse好多。spcc dse 百五考生三十幾個入 hku cu medicine 渣啲嘅鄰居SJC 一百一十dse考生十四個入兩大medicine... 唔係幾抵讀

"這樣，在應考的大學比較有往績的中學，是否會較有優勢" - of course a student from a school with good track record will have advantage but whether he or she studies IB or DSE is irrelevant

To be exact, for UK uni you don't need ielts you use your Dse s6 college predicted grades with 2 to 3 stars, you will have offers from top 10 UK uni for general BA business related majors easily. Their conditional offers are merely English to get 5 or above. Nowadays, to study abroad is relatively easily as most colleges in UK can aus are broke.
You can approach the agents at the recent study abroad exhibition to consult. Their advertisement states it frankly ib 32 or above dse 3344 can easily get into u Liverpool and equivalent.

無話考DSE讀唔到oxbridge.
睇以往卓越獎學金得獎名單，有公報學生去咩學校讀咩科（近兩年唔再公布），都見有唔少係只有DSE既學校既得獎人啦。不過普通學校入Oxbridge 本科係少既。

絕對同意, 有錢一定讀IB, 今年2026年IB狀元至少57個, 痴左線. DSE狀元最多10個8個.

計法都唔同，ib 最高7分無再好似dse咁把最高5分中top 10% 計5＊＊，而dse 又只計全部5＊＊才算狀元
