I think you get me wrong. there is only one  pg class in Kornhill. all Japanese, Chinese and English speaking kid are there. The main lanugage use in the class is English. There are 2 assistants in the class, one speak Cantonese and one speak Japanese in the case the kids can't understand English.

海峰園Is it in North Point? They have E/M PN class?

Oh, I see. Actually, I'd like to let my BB to explose to different language environment so I also want to let her to go to Jap playgroup.
Yes, 海峰園Is in North Point. This is the only Victoria that have M+E PN class in HK island. However, the competition is really keen!!! I didn't really think that they will accept my girl since she didn't know any Mandarin! My first choice is let my girl to go to Eng + Mandarin PN, so choices is really limit !

are you live in Taikoo? I just worry it is too far to study in NP. Do they have school bus? Kornhill Int'l said they have school bus to TK. But the first month of Nusary student is too young to take the school bus themselves (but parents cannot accompany them), so parents should pick up their kids in the first month.

I live in Heng Fa. I think it is OK for the distance. I also don't know whether they have school bus or not. I think I need to check out. OH, I thought Kornhill have school buw, the teacher didn't told me that the child cannot take school bus on the 1st month. This make me a bit headache!

One of the teacher in the classroom told me during open day. you better check clearly with the kinder.

係呀我都會再打去check清楚，康怡的老師似咐對學校的行政唔清唔楚，我同個老師講我bb係9月出世，佢話未夠年齡可能唔收，但我明明記得唔知係邊道睇/聽到會收架喎 而且個老師好似唔太肯定咁

我個仔返咗學一個月啦, 佢而家開始習慣學校的生活, 已經肯自己行返學校, 放學又肯自己行返屋企, 雖然路程只有五分鐘, 都叫進步咗     

So far, 學校比我地的感覺幾好, 好似我個仔病咗無返學, 先生都會打電話問候; 又佢地發覺小朋友有什麼問題都會問家長,雖然佢地無主動打電話同我傾小朋友係學校的情況, 但每次我打電話或者叫工人問先生, 佢地都好樂意同你講。上次open day, 我都有去, 好多miss同嬸嬸都叫到我個仔個名!唔知係佢地記性好,又或者我個仔實在太好動     另外, 我最鍾意佢地有webcam,係公司都可以睇到個仔喺playground玩嘅情況, 幾得意架

我同我先生都發覺個仔有啲唔同咗, 好似講多咗野 (雖然唔知講乜), 識嘅字多咗, 同埋好似大個咗, 我諗同輩學習對小朋友真係影響大啲

nice to hear that your son enjoys the school life v. much.  I've enrolled the play class (Kornhill) for my girl as a trial b4 applying the nursery, and the class will start on Oct 8.  As per the teacher, this class is conducted in English and is of a so-called  international mix (includes Jap kids).  I think it's better than Victoria's pg for its smaller class size and spacious room for activities.

I don't realise that they have play class on Saturday.  How old are the kids in general?  

My son got a bite mark on his arm today.  I called the class teacher but she didn't know that.  She said my son didn't have any fight with other kids in the class and he didn't cry today.  I asked my boy who bite him, he just looked at me and smile.

Maybe the "bite mark" was "made" by your son himself as my girl always does the same and she feels happy after doing that       .  However, you'd better to check your son and the teacher from time to time if you observe anything abnormal.

The play class on Saturday is actually a playgroup which is taught by one Native English Teacher and assisted by one teacher who can speak Cantonese.  The class size is 10 at most, and it runs from 10:30 am to 12 pm.  The fee is at HK$1,280 for 8 sessions.  I think it's more or less similar to its nursery class It serves a trial to see if my girl loves the environment before we make the decision to let her enter this nursery.

Haha...your girl is very cute.  She likes to bite herself and feels happy about it   

My boy never bite himself or others.  But he likes to "搣"my neck or arm sometimes when I carry him.  It's quite painful indeed!

The fee for playgroup is rather ok.  You may right. It seems similar to nursery class as we also have a native english speaking teacher and other teachers can speak cantonese.  How long it will take? 3 hours or 2 hours?

The play class lasts about 1.5 hours from 10:30am - 12 pm.  Yes, the fee is quite reasonable ga!

Dear moms,

I've been reading this thread for quite a long time, as I'm also have a headache in finding nursery class.  Reading here makes me feel Kornhill is really a good school, and that adds my headache:

1) my baby is born in Dec 04, should I apply their N1 class this year, then she can join the class when she turn 2 years old in Dec 06?

2) I live in Siu Sai Wan, do you know if there's any school bus there?  Do you all live in Taikoo  or Kornhill?

3) I've visited Tutortime at Tai Tam today, though it's nearer to our place, but I feel they are too "commercial".  I haven't visited Kornhill yet, is their playgroup having trial class as well?

Hi Chan_wingyee,

Your baby is still young and you still have time to search for good nursery.  You can call the school to arrange a visit anytime.  I visited the school last Nov and I decided to enroll this year on April or May (I don't quite remember the exact time)   

Yes, I lived in Kornhill so this is the major reason I selected this nursery for my boy.   For the school bus route, you can also ask the school.   Are there any japanese living near your home place?  If yes, then probably the school bus will pass by your area.

For playgroup, maybe other moms can give u more  information

I don't think Kornhill has the trial class on playgroup as I paid the 8 sessions (HK$1280) when I enrolled it for my girl.  I'll tell u more about the play class next month.

Same as nicnicchu, I also live in Kornhill, and that's why I pick Kornhill Int'l Nursery as my first priority.  In my opinion, in addition to the quality of school, location is also important for selection of nursery as the kid is only 2 years old, the travelling time should not be long.  


As far as I know, its N1 class accepts the candidates anytime they reach 2 provided that it has vacancy.
