1) 一間 school board e-mail 覆 currently at maximum capacity and have stated that they are not accepting international students. >>> 網站明明寫國際學生可以申請, 但其實原來係可以申請但 "潛規則" 係唔收國際學生.

http://internationalprograms.epsb.ca/internationalstudentprogram/programchoices/ , 國際學生我估可能只有呢幾間指明 ESL 學校收http://internationalprograms.epsb.ca/internationalstudentprogram/schoolprofiles/, 而排名好 & 高少少嘅 Lillian Osborne High School ESL 學校(唔係基督教) 又出公告 overcapacity, 收生有優先次序及要抽籤才知有無得讀. 另外, 因為太多人申請, G11-12 唔收國際學生

呢間 school board 只有2間基督教學校, 依家知道"潛規則"都可以慳返報名費唔洗報了

2019 Oct 26 學校 e-mail 回覆申請文件要求及需要面試： Here is what is required:

Program Application form
Copy of Passport
Copy of Birth Certificate
Copy of School Grades
Personal letter telling us about him/herself and she he/she wishes to come to Canada to study
Several pictures (including family, friends, etc)
One passport-sized photo
Application fee ($250.00). Wire banking instructions are attached

In addition to the above information, our faith-based schools require an extra step prior to being accepted. Students are required to go through a faith-based interview (which can be arranged via Skype if they cannot attend in person). Prior to the interview being arranged, we also require this additional information:

Pastoral Reference
Personal Statement of Faith

Once I receive all of the required information, I will forward it on to the school of choice. They will be in contact with you (I am assuming you are the contact person). I am also assuming that accommodations will be arranged for the student on your own and that we will not be required to find a host family. In the event we do need to find a host family, I have included what the fees would be for that. Here are the fees for the school year (September 2020 - June 2021):

Application Fee: $250.00
Homestay Registration Fee (If Required): $250.00
Tuition Fees: $13.350.00
Mandatory Medical Insurance: $700.00
Homestay Fee (If Required):  $8,000.00 ($800 per month)

3)  最後呢個school board 明明 web site 寫收國際學生, 我 e-mail 問 homestay 安排因網站無寫, 學校回覆唔收國際學生. Administrative Procedure 301: INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

唉!!!! 唔通, 想少少堅持申請及讀 "好少少, 排名高少少" 嘅基督教公立學校都唔得. 基督教私校費用貴, 未必負擔到啊. 唔通真係"隨意"俾 school board派位, 有位就派, 去一間唔知咩野嘅學校?

搵學校真係令人好沮喪
我雖然唔係指定要入邊間學校
但當時同你一樣諗法
我都係怕school board 亂派
所以先搵私校
不過間私校我原本諗住讀1年
所以都搵得好求其
好彩收左之後再搵資料原來都唔太差
所以你都唔好灰心
希望在明天

我之前都係搵York region
Pierre 同Bur Oak 不嬲都唔收visa 學生
Markville 呢幾年上得好快
所以都唔會有位比visa 學生
當時我附近得返Unionville 同Milliken
所以最後都冇入紙申請

it is true. Ontario government is cutting their budget on education. I know people from local school are moving to private for this reason. the quality of education is justified for the fee you paid in private school.

我都搵緊Toronto Vaughan, North York, Stouffville and Mississauga 等private school, 見有IB private school 學費同public international student 唔係差太遠, 有以下問題 :
1)  IB 有必要讀得咁難嗎? 因Toronto G11-12 計校內成績, 會唔會捉蟲呢?
2)  IB 有校內學生成績大概水平嗎?
3)  一般學校入咩大學, 網上有資料嗎?
4)  Private school 有ranking 嗎?
5)  有些學校話唔收 visa student, 如倍讀唔使學校找監護人及寄宿, 咁都當visa student 唔考慮嗎?
6)  如何得知間學校多唔多內地生?
7)  申請Private school 要預半年時間, 足夠嗎?
8)  我見有D 學校要求P5 以上插班要睇SSAT result, 知唔知咩要求?
