According to psycholinguists, the best time to pick up the natural accent of a second language is before 15. After 15, no matter how fluent you are, you can't speak with a native accent. That's why it is important for primary schools to teach pronunication but the fact is most English teachers are not the expertise in this area. So, no wonder so mnay tutorial centers offer phonics classes.  |
