Re: St.Cat 的同學派得理想嗎?

Hi Teresa,
According to what you said, it seems that the English standard is quite good. Is there any native English teacher?
Can you tell me little bit about the result of HKCEE in your years? Say, how many "A"s usually students got?
Cheers
Don't know whether there is nat teacher in primary, but I am sure there are nat teachers in secondary.
In my old days, the nat teachers came from India, Russia, and Australia, teaching English and some other subjects. They were very experience teachers. At first, their accents scared me, I remember that in the first term in F.1, I could only understand half of the Indian-English. But it did train my ear, now I am able to listen all kinds of accent much better than my colleagues.
In my year, HKCE results were OK (in my opinion), the brightest student in Arts got 5As out of 8 subjects and the student in Science got 8As in all subjects. In HKAL, one of my classmate got all As and she was admitted to Oxford with scholarship.
The following year was even better, more than 5 students in Science class got over 6As out of 8 subjects.
But let me say, it is difficult to give a figure of how many As a student got on average. It all depends on the ability and effort of students. |
