St Judes sharing on current situation:

1. Every morning around 20 min big muscle play - cycling and other activity in the big hall.
2. Followed by whole school morning assembly - praying, sometimes net teacher teaches songs /activity with slide show. (parents can stay behind to watch). All teachers are there.
3. K1 - homework twice a week. Each time homework from 2- 5/6 pages. Now circle/line matching/coloring/labelling, etc., on chinese, maths & english, opposites, etc. In addition, a book report every week. (parents help fill out). Also some exercises were done at school. They return the completed 工作紙 to parents.
4. There are over 10 text books, also with books on bible knowledge.
5. Mandarin once a week.
6. teachers are kind and loving. All the teachers and staffs are very polite and you may talk to them during the morning and pick up time.
7. The english teachers stand outside school every day in the morning to greet the kids. He is genuine NET from Australia, young and cheerful, not ABC, not from India, philippines. 20 minutes English class per day. Even SKH does not have NET teacher and english class every day.
8. Principal is experienced, cheerful, approachable, and take good care of the students. She appears everyday in the morning and pick up time. You may talk to her anytime and she knows the progress of the students.
9. All the staffs and curriculum are already new in 2011/12. They emphasize the syllabus will be able to meet the academic level of Ramondi Primary.
10. They have music class in music room and playing in the play room.
11. There is nanny bus service but not operated by the school.
12. We are Catholic and my kid loves going to school there.
13. All the misc costs e.g. uniform, books, are cheap cause they purchase altogether with other catholic kgs.
14. According to the principal, renovation will be focused on the classroom and corridor areas which benefit directly the students, rather than on the outside area of the school.

Pls could you try yr best to advise my questions below:

*How many students are now in K1 for 11/12

*How many teachers look after a class?  How many students for a class?

*Do the parents of K1 aim to let their kids to study in the kinder till grad?  That is, their kids will stay after the change of name and parents pay the increased school fee next year.

*Do you have any news for the current K3 students that if they are being accepted by Raimondi Primary? Not sure if they also target for Raimondi Primary?

My son is one of the applicants...hahaha....i would say around 1xx application for K2

I have asked the Principal, she is not willing to share the info. However, she said K3 applicant is less and implies she has enough seats to accept all K3 application. Also, she says it would be an advantage for the K3 applicants as they will be the first year Ramondi Kindergarten graduate and she will request the Primary school principal to accept all of them if possible.
