Last year when I had to consider which schools to apply to for my daughter, I also considered DGJS. DGS/DGJS didn't get her reputation for no reason.
But I decided not to apply in the end because I didn't think it's a suitable school for my daughter. I probably would feel really bad if I had to give up a chance to go to a prestigious school, i.e., if my daughter was being accepted.
Recently I heard from a friend that a girl got into a well-known traditional girl's school (not DGJS) and the girl is now having a hard time in P1. The parents said there's too much homework. I thought to myself, they should have thought about it before they accepted the offer.
What I'm trying to say is that, we as parents should try to find a school that is suitable for our children. Entering a prestigious school is not a ticket to win. |
