May I ask you?  中基七月中有一個校內和教统局的"升中分班試"，do you know校內和教统局的數學科是考英數或中數呢？

For the Pre-s one and school test,  The Maths paper  was printed in both Chinese and English three years ago, it is believed that might be the same this year.. so don't worry, most of the students are from 中文小學 My son was also from中文小學, he performed very well. However, you can encourage your kids reading more English books andnewspapaer or even watch some English movies to improve his English standard so that they can easily adapt to new school life....

I always encourage my son to read English book and newspaper.
However, he seems enjoying to read his Chinese fiction, Chinse sport newspaper.... anyway, all are Chinese.
Do you know?  I feel very difficult to change his mind to read more English books.  He is very lazy.  He doesn't like to check dictionary.   He always guess the meaning of the misunderstanding vocabulary.  That is difficult to upgrade or improve his English.
I hope the teachers in secondary school can change his mind to read more English actively.

By the way, 可否分享中基的老師用什麼方法提升一些由"中小"學生來的英文水平呢？

Mine is also a son and a lazy boy too I really want to "open my hand" and let him develop his new school life himself. I am so worrying if he can manage his secondary syllabus well?

Don't worry! The school will provide a lot of opportunity for students to improve their Engllish standard, such as  summer bridging course and some enrichment courses  in Form one and Form Two  for writing reports or  project based learning etc. students can read  interesting  english e-books in the library and talk to the NET teachers  at lunch time, they can join some other Englsih  courses like Public Speaking courses or stiory writing  and my son took the Public speaking course and found  it very fruitful.  The school  will organise hte English summer camp at Cambridge University this year.... Don't worry! As long as kids  enjoy their school life,  they will learn by themselves.... I am impressed by my son's hard work and devotion in his studies. in secondary  life as  the teachers   give them support and guidance all the time,

很開心你能分享那麽多學校提供給學生的多樣化學習，我也放心了，我會繼續支持和鼓勵亞仔比心機學習，享往校園所提供的資原。  Do you know how many NET in school now?  In regarding of Englsih  courses like Public Speaking courses or story writing, either provide for students with good English standard or anyone to join in?

There  are two NET teachers in school now and there are different courses to suit different needs of students, I just name a few as I forgot some of them.....  For Public speaking  course, I think that it might be for those students with better English standard.  My son's English or other subjects are greatly improved in his secondary which is mainly from  the effort of the  school  and teachers....... that's the reason why I always support the school.   
中學生要放手呀,我一向崇尚無為自治,我以教孩子好品德和確立正確的人生觀行先,他便會發奮,發自內在的動力, 力争上游,成績就愈來愈好! 共勉之! 我還有學習中,但他在一所有心用心的學校受教育,我可以放心!
