根德園interview

I also took my son to Kenvile interview in this morning. His emotion was not good as usual  as he has not recovered from diarrhea.
The interviewers were very considerate and positive, with smiling all the time so my son kept talking with her after warming up,  and I think they showed interest in children becasue they were very happy when my son waved to them and said bye-bye with a smiling face.
For me, I also said I won't choose the pm class becasue I hope my son can take more rest in the afternoon and even participate some playgroups later.
Yet, I dont' understand the aim of arranging the second interviewer who expected the kid says 'thank you' or even 'bye-bye' after taking the candy, which had been done by the previous teachers. And does anyone know the standard of accepting applicants in this school?

Agree. 首先見到metal做的單車已覺得新奇,再見metal playground 器材就知道此kinder 信奉五十年不變的原則. SC維持跌序的是笑笑口老師. Kent就有兩個男工 "男既一邊, 女既一邊".

囡囡唱Twinkle Twinkel Little Star, 但我諗老師要識唇語先知道. 第二個老師俾candy亞囡無反應, 要我提先講......“唔該" .唔佢既影晌力有幾大,我見佢有寫comment.

兩個老師都無乜笑容 (9:00am),反而SC 老師11:30am的笑容種好得.

其實根德園真係好耐歷史, 好同意其中一個mami 話佢地個洗手間唔係好clean.

My son's interview was today's 10:00am.  Well, so far so good.  He just can't answer what is a fridge and the interview is quiet fast.

The teacher did ask him to sing a song and other teacher just suddenly asked me question, it looks like they don't want me to help him.  Anyway, I saw Gordon negotiated with the teacher which song (we usually sing many different songs at home) he wants to sing and he sang very soft. Anyway, I am appreciated he can do it.

What song did your son/daugher sing? ABC songs or some other?  When I left the school, I did hear a mommy told her son to sing ABC song and he have to finish the whole song. Poor little baby.  Why just don't let he do whatever he wants.

我覺得答『不選擇下午』亦不代表機會很徽，只要你的小朋友達到學校要求就收，相信學校這樣問，只是用作學額分配。

You are right! 我問過兩位讀過根德園的小朋友,佢哋在學校的活動只有踩單.  我今日見到佢哋的滑梯係用繩欄住的.所以相信佢哋無打算比學生玩.
其次亦無出外的參觀活動.
放心啦,根本唔會有意外發生 :

Take it easy 啦(It's out of our control)!  I believe they will finally choose your background more than any other things.
I think the interview is just a first check whether your kid is phyiscally healthy and whether the parent is care for their kids.
For example, there're 2000 applicants and from the interview, they got 1000 applicants passed.  Then how they pick the final 200?  
From your applicant form, they can see where do you live, what's your occupation.  For St. Catherine, you've even written down your education level.
If you're the school, how do you pick?
Therefore, the interview is only part of the factor.

Agree! I think the kids are not allowed to go out to the playground, in fact, Kentville is pushing the kids too much on classroom learning. I don't think they have much chance of getting out and get hurt.

The toys at Victoria are far much better, safer and cleaner.

my little daughter was shy and felt very sleepy.
She did not answer the questions well and I get very worried
I do think the teacher was not patient enough to wait for the child to answer the question

絕對同意，考之前無比小朋友warm up。老師時常強迫小朋友答問題，而且周圍環境並沒有遊樂設施，頗舊。

My son was too carried away by the puzzle.  He played and finished very fast.  Both teachers were amazed.  But when they asked him his name he said 'Ngggg'.  He didn't answer any questions.  He did sing one sentence.
