We have think about this issue too.  But we feedback more our views to the school.

By the way, should we orginzied together and start to establish a community like 家長教師會 ?

May be for those parent that already get the ID from the school BBS can start discuss this in the school forum.

I only apply Pui Kiu for my daughter because Pui Kiu is very close to my husband's house in Shatin. 王先生 told me there are some western kids and 外國回流 kids in Pui Kiu. Thus I apply Pui Kiu and assume that their english standard should be alright.  My daughter is very good in phonic and books reading.  Her english is much better than me.  However, she afraid of chinese writting.  If pui kiu use  most of subjects in Chinese, it will force those western and 外國回流 kids change to another school due to their low chinese standard.

I think Pui Kiu College will adopt IB programme in the future for this is the main trend of the world's education.  By the way, some of the parents afraid that if the school tries to use putonghua in teaching maths and chinese, it will frighten away those foreign students for their chinese is not good at all.  I don't actually agree with that.  A coin should has two sides.  The reason why most of  the parents sent their children studying here is to boost their children both the first language and the second language. So, if you are afraid of chinese language, why don't you choose an international school? In Pui Kiu, students will also learn a lot about chinese culture, so, if students try  to use one language (english as a medium of learning) and if teachers try to one language ( english as a medium of instruction), the objective of the school may /will not be achieved.

我剛上培僑的內聯網,  都見到有家長把大家的留言放到上去, 或者是有家長想把大家的意見給學校和其他家長知, 不要這麼不開心, 可能學校還沒有太多資料, 所以大家都小上來討論,  不要緊, 以後大家多在bk 交流, 尤其大家收到註冊信後,  多聯絡吧!

我感到好唔開心, 好似比人出賣咁.  我只為女兒申請培僑,沒有申請其他學校. 因好喜歡pui kiu 我教育理念. 而且剛sent出申請, 學校如睇過內容,一定知我係邊個.入bk 是想多了解pui kiu, 希望真是中英并重, 不是一面倒以中文科為主, 把我的說話post上pui kiu網好可能會直接影響女兒waiting list的申請. 真是太過份了.  

可能大家不介意, 但如果在post 之前問下大家是否介意把對話post 上pui kiu 網, 我可以要求delete 我的 post.   :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

Dear All,

The first "arent Meeting" will be held on 15 Jan, we'll have a chance to communicate with school directly & express our concerns and we'll get to know each other.

Also Dr Law seems to be interesting in knowing our views on the language of teaching Math.  It's a good start!

There are some discussion about the language of teaching Math in PK's intranet--"rimary Education" section.   

I don't know where is the venue for the Parent Meeting but we should receive the invitation letter from school soon.
