I heard that in secondary school, 老師 唔教, all depends on parents or private tutors.
Is this true?
Does your son need a private tutor as well?

I received a call from a man speaking in Chinese.  I also surprised as they called me Sat morning as I submitted it on Fri morning, they are so efficient to read through all applications.  

My application no. is 3xx, does it reflect the no. of application received, 300+?

What is the dress code for the interview?  School uniform or smart casual wear?  Thanks for advising.

Dear KM Mum

The 1st interview is for the kids only.  No parents interview this time.

They didn't mention the dress code.  It is up to you to wear school uniform or smart causal.

唔緊要, 識講英文就講英文, 唔識英文就同佢講中文, 佢識聽, 因為我舊年同佢講英文, 所以我唔知如果你同佢講中文,佢會同你講英文定中文?!佢好好人, 放心, 你一定唔會驚!

Absolutely incorrect!
Teachers teach normally as in primary school.
My son said only the story book which teacher asked them to study and did exercises first and then teacher went through with them.


I remembered one time he did a project. I asked him how to do. He responsed that he couldn't  tell me in a few minutes with 1 hrs explanation from teacher.  That means teacher will explain in details.

It's better to do so.
Dress code: primary school uniform (my advice)

We submitted form on last Fri & got the call on Sat morning for an interview on coming Frida ...

There are so much rumors on those famous schools (LS, DBS…...)


By the way, I never heard Brother Patrick speaks Chinese.

In secondary schools’ interview, the performance of students are much important than parents.
You just need to show that you really care your son.
I think that will be better if both father and mother are joining the interview.

Yes, Dad & mum will accompany him for the interview, it's a sign of support.

To prepare for the interview, I have asked him to read through his profile & the contents written in the application form (as all are done by me), any other suggestion for the preparation?  Thanks.

I have not idea about St Joseph.
Bro. Patrick is the supervisor of both LS primary and secondary school.

Maybe the same person, my hus graduated from St. Joseph, and understand that Brother Patrick is the Chairman of De La Salle Brothers (Society) Hong Kong at the moment.
