Hi tanny,
That's strange.  Actually, I do have a rather good memory on these things.  I don't remember anything on the form which requires us to choose the language for interview.  Their arrangement was indeed a bit weird.  Was the teacher who interviewed Ian a Chinese or a Western lady?  How long are you allowed to stay with Ian on Wednesday?  I am not sure whether I will go with Daniel on that day.  Daniel is starting to take the school bus this week from home.  If he is fine, I prefer not to accompany him so that he can get used to the routine as quickly as possible.  Will Ian take the school bus in the future?

我今日都收到信, 但心中有點奇怪  
為何會收我囡囡 .... ????
原因, 我囡囡沒有回答任何一個問題, 好似點左月甘 !
而老師只問了 4-5 個問題, 就話我囡囡好乖, 好定....跟住俾糖我囡囡走得 ... 2 - 3 分鐘走得 !

問題如下 :
1) 你叫什麼名 ? -- 無回答, 老師說出名字,囡囡只點頭
2) 你幾多歲 ? -- 無回答, 老師說出2歲, 囡囡只點頭
3) 俾個黃色 lego 老師 ! -- 無回答 ,老師拿出黃色,囡囡只點頭
4) 俾粒糖 mummy !  -- 俾左粒糖我

My daughter (born in Dec) also got accepted.

However, paying $1050 deposit is really a concern.

I don't know much about this school and not sure should I proceed with the payment.

我囝囝都收到信話收咗佢, 佢嗰日真係幾合作, 所以要做既嘢都做晒, 包括答問題同講Good Morning, Thank You & Goodbye!
不過一交就要交成千蚊, 我多數都唔會買啲個保險! 今次就當個經驗!

有關sjc的負面消息我都有聽聞。這間學校我原本都考慮報，但由於這些不利消息，所以決定不報。雖然我不是報全日，但因我囝囝重未識講野，我怕佢比人蝦不懂反抗，所以不考慮。您在上次in.時，您覺得這學校如何？sjc是否您心儀？另您沒有交留位費 ~ york，您不喜歡york嗎？咁您囡囡有冇學校收？起馬要交一間做後備﹗這是我意見。

Before I learned the bitter experience of other sjc parents, sjc was the one high on my agenda!
Now, I am full of hesitation.

The visit to Flint Road campus did not help much.  I returned home without knowing what's inside the classroom!  Notwithstanding this, I may pay the deposit  so as  to, as you said, get insured (but with an extra loading of $500 as compared with York).  :-x  

As regards York, the deadline for deposit payment has already been lapsed.  Anyway, being too commercial or money-minded (very personal comment), York is anything but my cup of tea.

Sorry, it is not about the SJC interview.

My daughter has just joined SJC in Sep 04 (K1).  Besides those negative posts, I would also hope you learn some facts about the school.
