If the students are good and well trained, why didn't HKUGA accept them all to their Secondary section?  

Leaving some failure students to "traditional schools" is a ethnically wrong.  I remember our ex-leader said : "you are sometimes naive..."  this is true to believe the "one dragon" concept, it simply doesn't work to current education system.

每一間直資都有它的好處與壞處

陳守仁 － 哥哥的兒子今年升五年班， 評語此校英文都可以， 但中文程度差

優才 － 朋友的女兒升四年班， 評語此功課一般， 但中英文程度都OK

港大 － 自己的女兒升四年班， 三年班的功課和測驗比二年班多。但普通話比以上學校好

If the students are good and well trained, why didn't HKUGA accept them all to their Secondary section?  

The Batch 1 students are not the group I have mentioned. It would be fair to count those who have been admitted in past 3 ~ 4 years under the intense competition.

Whether those students can prove their competence, let us wait and see.

我女今年在HKUGA讀小一，適應日當日有安排同幾位小二以上的家長見見面，問問題。他們個個都好樂意為學校付出時間，幫忙其他家長，因為覺得學校很好，而我總括他們最開心的是他們的子女在這校讀書後是對『學習有自發性的興趣』，這是很多家長都夢眛以求的，所以他們想做一點事來回饋學校。
無一所學校是適合所有小朋友及家長的期望的，如果覺得不適合，倒不如快快轉校，無謂大家都唔開心，讓番個位比真正懂得欣賞這所學校的小朋友及家長吧！
看到這些偏激的回應後，我只是慶幸那這所學校可以少了一個麻煩的家長！

This is only my personal feeling towards the 2 principals .

After attending the P1 seminar last week, I think Principal Yam is not good at "selling". HKUGA is a good school, all the kids we meet (those lovely guides), who are quite confident in front of the crowds, the students artworks on the wall and on bulletin boards are very impressive...... but she seems too weak in convincing or telling people how good the school is. (I was quite disappointed). I do believe she and all the HKUGA teachers have heart in doing all round education but she seems not tough enough to lead the team.

Principal Yau in Logos, he is a good sales person, from the saminar, you will know what is the vision of the school, the course features, the qualification of the teachers, the standard of their students ..

一條龍？好多傳統self-claimed一條龍名校每年都收十個八個外來"考第一生"，呢D學位邊到嚟？唔通係個校長自己嗬出嚟？定係小一已經留定位？大家心知肚明。我以前番學，年年都少咗D舊同學，換左幾張新面孔。細個讀書唔明，大咗就知道你唔達標學校係要你走嘅(直接或間接方法)。正如你考咗入史丹福、哈佛、牛津都唔保證畢倒業。所以唔好浪費時間去研究"一條龍"嘅定義，幫吓小朋友達標最實際！

Don't be disappointed. 我都有去上周個 P1 seminar. 其實我地家長最需要嘅係 Good Partner，唔係 Good Promotor。記得去年參加小一簡介會嘅時侯，任校長回答咗我一個公開問題，佢給出嘅答案，就係自己心目中已存在的唯一model answer,自此我覺得校長同自己思路好接近，所以好信任佢，呢個亦係我最終選呢間學校嘅原因之一。其實任何嘢都有機會成本，如果學校花多D資源去Promote自己，其它方面就會付代價。我覺得我哋港同家長最緊要做好自己，貫切學校目標。要放下面子，人哋惦批評，唯有用時間去証明，爭駁係冇用嘅！
