Dear all,
尋日專登抽空送囡囡返學，其間在離開課室，係窗口偷看囡囡之時，俾我發現到以下情況；
話說當囡囡放低書包時，見到佢隔離的同學好雀躍咁叫佢一齊玩，當時見到佢地用手不斷將檯上的積木推來推去，好開心咁大聲叫打麻雀、打麻雀呀，好似大人咁洗牌，當時感覺好奇怪，點解佢地會識得這些東西，但又覺得好攪笑，那時候還以為miss wong會鬧佢地，點知老師只係叫佢地細聲一點，然後報以微笑，好溫柔咁問佢地點識呢d東西？又同佢地講積木係用來砌架，咁班小朋友就又好開心咁一齊砌積木。
個刻我覺得根德園並唔係外界想像中那般嚴肅、傳統。相反，老師好有耐性，同唔會抹殺同學的聯想、創造力。所以，唔親身見過都唔會明白。我絕對相信大家都無選擇錯呢！
係呢，妳會唔會參加kentville christmas party呀？

HI, all Kentville mama,
My daughter is admitted in K1 next yr. But I am afraid that she cannot catch up with other students (y bb born on Aug, that is small bb) because I heard that the academic standard is quiet high. And she is a quiet and shy girl, I don't know whether Kentville is suitable for her or not. Can any mama give me some idea and share experience with me? Thx a lot.

Hi Yi,
my daughter was born in late-Dec, she's still doing okay w/her line drawing and in pase w/the syllabus. do dont worry. Just not sure if for K2 onwards...
be more confident w/yr kid. u may spend more time w/kid to review according to the outlines given by teachers.  hope it would help ease yr worries.

Dear all,

I thought that we are having the Christmas party held on Dec 20; however, I just received my son's birthday card from school, which stated that they will hold a birthday party for my son(students who are borned on Nov & Dec) on Dec 20. So is that means Kentville will have their Birthday Party & Christmas Party hold on the same day???

Thank you for yr comfort. But other than homework burden, what makes me worried is my daughter is a quiet girl, will she be more shy and quiet when she study in Kentville? What do u think? Please share yr opinion with me. Is yr daughte quiet or active?

my son is born in aug and he is a kind of passive and quiet baby.  but he enjoys his school life and kentville wont make him more shy and passive than u think.  believe us, kentville is not as traditional as what others criticize.

仔仔昨晚跟我說:：Miss So結婚啦！問他誰說的?他話Miss So告訴他們，不可跟他們開Party了，由其他老師代替她和他們玩。最好笑是我問仔仔Miss So幾時放假及返學，他說Miss So今個星期結婚，Holiday完了蓋花仔時就返啦！

講笑定講真啊! 怪不知我囡囡話唔返學, 話miss So都唔返學, 跟住我同佢講Miss So話好掛住你喎! 你一定要返學, 唔係掛死佢架! 我囡囡先識笑及肯返學! 我囡囡好鬼驚青, 一有些少轉變, 就鬥情緒, 都唔知點幫佢.  記得上次Miss Suen病咗兩日無返學, 佢就哭足幾日情緒.

My girl is active type, at beginning, she was unreluctant to stay on her seat steadily. Actually in my opinion, yr girl would be easy to fit in Kentville (rather easier than my girl). Dont be over worry that the KG life would make her more quiet, the kiddies will have more inactive n influences from each other, so she will become more talkative n bring u more surprises after u find her keeps singing with motions of songs learned from school.  Most of the kiddies I learn from Kentville parents, they enjoy their days there.

Dear all,

Sometime ago I heard that parents can accompany the students to school only when they are celebrating their birthdays at the class party.

My girl was born in Dec, 01. Does that mean I could go join the b-party on Dec 20? Or did I misunderstand this?

Anyone knows about this?
