hi hoeve,

I bought 2 polo tees for my girl during weekend. As she will go to school by school bus, so I think it's better for her to wear the school uniform so that the auntie can recognize her.

tommyzoe, can you briefly describe the dress code for R1? thanks.

As my kid is not studying kindergarten, it is better that you can refer to kindergarten handbook or check with kindergarten.

I'll move to Shatin and would like to take the school bus too. I'll also buy uniform to her. Did you buy the boys short sleve polo or th girls short sleve polo?

I bought the girls one for my daughter. I just bought the top, I hadn't bought the pants.

Moving to Shatin is good as you can minimize the travelling time a lot which is good for the kid.

Hi, ICS elementary parents,

My daughter is going to P1; it's the first time for her to have lunch in school.  Can any elementary parents advise or give comments on the lunch program that provided?  I find the lunch sets from the menu seems quite good but I'm afraid my daughter can't eat much.... coz she usually can't finish her meal (feed by herself) at home within 30-45 min.

Do you know the children join the lunch program or bring from home mostly?

I haven't bought the pants yet. I'll see if she can wear her own pants with the polo tee on top after the registration date. When are you going to buy the polo tee?

Suggest to train your daughter to eat faster (though a lot of kids are slow eaters, including my daughter).  The lunch break is about 20 minutes only.

The menu are generally good but the price sounds a bit expensive.

are you receive any welcome letter from home teacher so that you could know which class your child will join, I remebered my daugther was received her Grade 3 home teacher's letter before registration date.

Due to the regulation set by EDB, the kindergarten is not housed in the existing elementary & secondary campus.

Are they teaching in simplified chinese and language in
Mandarin or Cantonese?

As far as I know, ICS use Mandarin and teach simplified Chinese. Each cycle (6days) have 2 Chinese lessons. No Chinese lesson in Kinder (R1 and R2).
