Joyce also mentioned the roses too, but she did not request me to prepare the real roses to bring to school.  She only told me when Daddy and Mommy was getting married, Daddy would give Mommy the roses.  very funny.

I will let Joyce put on the traditional New Year costume on the party day too.  For the "Show & Tell", Joyce need to prepare the topic about "spring".  Do the kids need to stand in front of the classmates to speak up the specified topic?  Anyone knows about it?  If yes, Joyce will be shy to speak up in front of the others.

Fu Soen also said she needed to bring a rose to school.  I tried to cut a red rose picture from a magazine but she said she needed a real one.

I read from higher form's threads before...yes the kids are required to stand in front of the class to present the topic.  It's not unusual if the kids are shy...some of them will even stop saying any word after the introduction. The teacher will give a simple evaluation to the parents right after the presentation day.  My concern is as the presentation period covers a long period, for Calix, he needs to present on any date between 9 Mar to 27 Mar which means I need to get him prepared before 9 Mar.  But finally he may be requested to present on later dates that he may have forgot the presentation content already.  So maybe before he has finished the presentation, we need to keep practising with him at home.

The topic of Alton is Transportation.

Alton said they did Chinese paper today.  There are chinese words of chicken, duck, etc on the paper and they circle the right one.

yeah.. the topic of cassidy is transportation , and she needs to bring something to present

i asked her many many times about the assessment.. but she always said dunno.. and i ask her what did she do today? she always just telling me they go out to plat @ recess time.. so happy ... she only remember playing haha

joyce mom, do you want me to drive you and joyce friday morning? tell me if you want..

1 more thing.. when i pick cassidy up this afternoon.. the first thing she told me to buy the chinese new year flower or fruit... at first i thought she need to bring abck to school... but after i bought the small 吉仔.. she told me no need to bring back school but decorate at home

Yeah, Calix also mentioned 大桔 today.  He also asked me to buy a bag for him and Ms. Chan will give him the "red things".  Don't know if he's talking about "red packets".  Maybe the teachers told them the things about CNY.

He'd also mentioned many times that they'd used "newspaper" to do something...

Heard from other thread that we can get the assessment paper this time which was told by a teacher.  Hope that would be true.

Fu Soen's topic is the same as Joyce's, but I wonder the topic "Spring" includes Chinese New Year or not.

Today Joyce also told me that they played the lion dance. One kid played as lion head, the another kid played as tail following the head.  The lion would bow when hearing the sound of clap......very funny.

To Cassidy mom,

yes, it's great that u can drive Joyce and me to school if it's convenient to do so.  Thank you very much.

Calix said Ms. Chan was sick today...Ms. Mak was the substituted teacher.

Finally Calix told me that they can wear 中國服 tomorrow.  I'd asked him about the party dress code for many days but he just answered me that they need to wear the "K" uniform, haha...

Received the notice about "parent-child project" in 2nd term...seems that we'll become busier after CNY...

Btw, is there any holiday homework this time?  I can't find any in Calix's school bag.
