THANK YOU!Can you share your experience how to follow up that what the kids learned  from school about the french language which is if we no nothing about it.

From my observation within a very short period of time (i.e. about 5 months), my feeling is that the kid needs to have a real interest in learning a third language, be it French or Japanese.

Treat learning French as just a game for the kid so the students will try to speak simple French words to each other, sing French songs and dance together in class happily.

There are simple French exercises and games in the school web site so your kid can practise more through inter-active learning tools.

Also, the school will not count marks for basic French lesson so your kid can learn simple French in a leisurely manner.

We do not know French at all so there will not be any French-speaking environment at home but just let the kid treat this as a game.
They will then love it very much.

Thanks you explain to me in detail. Is it the exam just over.What do you think about  exam, for those kid s are esay to go through or not?Before  I'm bit worry about my girl ,in coming yr have to handle more than one language . As you say the school using the learning theme are very good insteed. sure my girl will  like it. thanks so much:>>>

The last examination finished in December (just before the Christmas).
My personal opinion is that the examination for P1 is not so difficult.
Are you aware that all examinations and term tests at TSL are held before long holidays?
In other words, we can reallly enjoy such long holidays with our kids without worrying about revision.

Believe it or not, kids can learn several languages very easily especially when they all play together in groups.

You, as a TSL parent, will experience all these very soon.

其實你仔仔中文邊方面弱, 你可以買d針對性的補充練習. 舊年暑假個女做了d重組句子同d "的, 得,地", 先至搞得清呢d基本野. 佢最弱係閱讀理解, 呢樣野,真要慢慢由多閱讀去解決.
你仔仔出自譚歐幼園, 個底己幾好, 相信中文唔會好差.

我仔仔中文默書就幾好，特別係背默。不過，中文閱讀理解，我個仔就唔識解題目，同埋重組句子好弱。所以，我諗做多D練習會有幫助。

My girl has the same problem.
But it seems that there is no short cut on this.
The only way is to do/practise more and it seems there will be slight improvement over time.

Also, will incentives work for your son?
If yes, perhaps you can buy him small toys if he could finish certain Chinese comprehension exercises according to your target.

I meant if your son is very willing to do such Chinese comprehension exercises by himself, you can then save the small toys.

But if not, perhaps using incentives is an alternative (may be not the best way).

我住市區，校車費加7％=~$525，比別的學校已算便宜。
你住那區，要每月~$1400 ? 港島 ? 屯門/元朗 ?

加校車費必定要PTA通過才能成事。

I think the sheet of A4 paper was distributed on the schoolbus last Fri.

我係住屯門嗰頭，入學前都有考慮過車費問題，因校車費重貴過學費，但確沒想過只讀了半年便加價。入學前不是簽了一份類似合約的文件嗎？我還以為定價是有效期一年呢！為什麽TA准許它們中途加價呢？真失望！

其實我自己乘西鐵接送她，兩人的車費亦只約校車的一半，而乘校車亦只是每程快10min。但最重要的是我沒法每天花5-6小時來接送她呢！

我囡囡讀得好開心，佢話返學和上課的開心程度是"10分"滿分。而我最高興的是發覺她的英文在"零"壓力中進步，雖然學校的Grammar WS不多，但做起Eng pal的Ex. 時，她卻做得快而準呢！這確是我意料之外的。

您的路程比我短，車費應該較便宜的，不是嗎？

其實近一兩年汽油$確是加了很多，而校車費真的已比別校便宜。相比另一間學校，黃埔-九龍塘來回~$7xx，但我們九龍城-學校來回只是~$492。所以相信你如果比較一下屯門-九龍來回校車費，我們的校車已算便宜。

不能單比較親自接送的車費。你也知時間上實在很難親自接送。

我估計其實醞釀加費已很久，但要等新一屆pta上場才能成事。
