Looking for school but don't know how to pick.

My son is studying one of the top schools in HK, so I want to pick a high academic school for him in UK, but not a noble one and has too many Chinese.

For those less Chinese, the academic standard may not that high, so it is quite difficullt for me to make decision.

同意你的睇法， 以我今年2月到校參觀所見， 香港學生會跟香港同學以英文交談， 好的學校有不少香港人， 相信學生的好成績會吸引學校招收更多香港或內地學生， 這是無可避免。

My advice to you is to go ahead to pick top tier schools in UK, assuming your son is academically good and should have no issues in coping with the school work.
However, you should avoid schools that accept mainland Chinese students if possible.  

You can write to the schools and ask about the composition of their overseas student population.

I only know girl schools which do not accept mainland chinese students but I have no idea about boys or co-ed schools.

From what I know, these 2 schools do not accept mainland Chinese students.
Cheltenham Ladies' College
Headington School

but there maybe more schools, you need to ask the schools of their students intake policy.

For CLC, I was told by the parents.  For HS, I asked the school mistress during the school visit.


You can also consider this school, St. Catherine's School, Bramley....they have less than 10 HK students in the whole school.  But I am not sure whether they accept mainland Chinese students or not.

不知英國的好學校是否都比香港的好學校讀得輕鬆呢?我都係諗住等agent比學校我選。

I have no idea, because my child is a daughter and I have not researched on boys and co-ed schools.

If 09/2016 study Year 9 in UK, does it mean 09/2015 F1 in HK?  Am I correct with the timing?

I think uk schools consider more your age than which form you are studying in hk as long as you passed their entrance test.

我問過幾間學校， 大部份要求入讀Y9時要未滿14歲， 只有一間就話8月出世有可能豁面
