其中一項我頗欣賞此校的安排是把考試和測驗安排在長假期之前。這樣我和我的孩子在放假時便不用很擔心要溫書, 而不能安心去玩。我見有朋友的孩子是在假期後才考試的, 他們的假期都活在溫書之中, 真的幾掃興。

另一件感恩的事是發現兒子下學期開始, 在自發做功課和溫習方面都有明顯的進步....尤其是默書成績更有大幅度改善, 上學期時, 只有3x分的中文默書, 現在都有85-90分, 心中實在很安慰。昨晚幫他溫中默(星期五默)時, 他竟差不多全都已經會默, 我真的覺得是天父在他身上作的奇蹟, 因我放年假之前, 還為他沒有好好溫習而激氣, 及我一直向天父禱告希望祂幫助我兒子要學習自發性讀書, 否則我可能就真的要先把工作放下, 回家幫他溫習....

你的孩子能讀「馬基」，是神的祝福、也是孩子的福氣。
「馬基」能有這樣一位支持學校的家長，豈不是更有福氣
我的仔仔也是讀1E班，所以你說的人和事，我完全認同，這真是一間很好的學校。仔仔很喜歡上學，認識很多朋友，很多同學打電話來問他功課。
這個復活節假，我們打算帶他到星加坡看動物，他說想騎馬，弟弟說要騎象。你也要好好休息，小心身體。

希望你們一家在復活節假過得開心愉快。
我既不是使者, 更不是代言人, 只是有感而發, 希望其他家長從我的分享中得到鼓勵和支持。
其實有時我都會問自己會否寫得太多, 變成好似好hard sell咁, 希望別人不會有此感覺。

這陣子都在忙於幫孩子溫習中英數的測驗, 晚上放工回到家中, 真的飯也未吃(但其實已是8:30PM)便幫他看功課, 告訴他有甚麼地方要改正後, 才可以安心吃飯。吃完再幫他溫習一下, 已是十時多了, 要上床睡覺。不知其他媽媽是否也是差不多這樣。

大家彼此鼓勵吧!現今做雙職媽媽真是不容易。我有時也會想不如放下工作, 回家看小朋友吧, 但最終都是放棄此念頭, 因我怕不做工, 一來家中的經濟程況會比較緊, 二來也怕自己會與社會脫節, 三來亦覺壓力可能更大?!

向前看吧, 見到兒子讀得開心, 成績有進步, 個人成長也有進步, 這便是自己最大的得著了。至於低潮的時候, 也要倚靠天父及家人朋友間的鼓勵, 也希望馬基的家長可以多些在此溝通發言, 讓大家對此校有更多認識。

My elder son will study in this school this Sept.

My problem is my son was learning in the international school and he does't know chinese.
But now there is a teacher who was teaching him chinese 3 days a week.  What can I do to help my kid.

I was so worry he will not like the school but in fact I like this school very very much.

Please comment.

Hi Blacksoya,

I may not have the experience to share with you about how to help your kid to fit into this school. But I did notice that my son has a classmate who could only speak Mandarin and English, after three months, my son told me that classmate could start to communicate in Cantonese with other classmates.

I think the point is that the teachers in this school really have experience and patience for the kids and their parents. And the time table really takes the Primary 1 students and their parents step by step to get use to the school environment, culture and curriculum. And I can see that this school really emphasize in the attitude and moral training. I can see that their students are active and creative but also very polite.

There are not many Primary schools out there will arrange Primary 1 parents to have class visits for 3 consecutive lessons. Because it is really not easy to keep the class to behave well for 3 lessons. But I can tell you that last year when I went for the class visit, I was very impressed by the behavior of the students. They were very active in asking questions in class, even the parents were just standing right behind them at the back of the classroom, they could still pay attention to the teachers. I think we really have to say thank you to the teachers. It is really not easy.

I hope my sharing can ease your worry.

It is my pleasure!

Well, I won't tell you that being a Primary 1 parent is easy. To me, there is a tremendous change in my family once my elder son got into P.1. The whole family have to learn to adapt the P.1 lifestyle with him. Even my younger son cannot go to the playground very often to play because my maid has to help my elder son to check on his homework and to prepare dinner for them. So I usually try my best to chat with them, to play with them, and to be with them over the weekend and sometime before they go to bed.

There will be a lot to learn, and it is definitely not easy. If you have time to read my msg in this forum, you will see my tears and anger, but you will also see my laughter and encouragement. This forum is a good place for MWKWPS parents to share. Hope you can join us soon.

我是荃官小畢業生, 而基慧又有宗教分, 應該點"簡"? 請指教.

基慧係無精英班架, 荃官小就有.

你本身住係邊度呀? 近邊間學校多呢? 不過基慧搭校車都唔遠既, 基慧用活動教學, 每個學生都讀得好開心架.

荃官小就壓力比較大過基慧, 呢樣真係要你自己選擇啦.

星期五晚近8時，才見仔仔的班主任收工。他們那天三時就放學。真辛苦她們了。每次放學接仔仔，也見到關校長站在操場，觀察孩子們放學。他們真的關心學生。

430表演實在太精采     

除了欣賞師生家長總動員出色演出外,亦非常佩服那份整體合作精神,雖然囝囝是少數無份演出學生,但我一樣看得非常投入,當中還有一點點感動,因為看著馬基小朋友們全情投入演出,實在使我作為該校家長也引以為榮

我也覺得430的表演實在很出色, 比我想像中好很多, 甚至可以話係好pro....

兒子當日是表演非洲鼓的, 臉孔晝了花斑斑, 很得意。小孩子們大概也很興奮, 當晚他發開口夢多次呢!

不過我就水皮d, 該晚上突然急性胃炎入了急症室打針, 今日仍然在發燒呢!

430我也有去呀, 小女也是表演非洲鼓呢! 佢地成班都畫晒面,我又坐好後. 個女出場一段時間先知邊個係佢 :cry:
我開初諗會好悶, 所以特意遲一點才進場, 點知一入去就被每場表演吸引了! 真係好pro, 好認真, 好齊心. 完全感受到全體師生的合作精神, 令我好感動! 立時慶幸自己給予小女入讀此校之餘, 也慶幸讓小女有機會參加演出!
真係對馬基越來越有感情.....越來越感驕傲
