Thanks. Horace has recovered a lot with the antibiotics.  He has slept all through the night last night.  

I hope Eugene can recover soon too.  Did he take the injection of the chicken pox?

Eugene does not take the chicken pox injection. In fact I want to do it, but well..... now is too late and I can save HK$600. Ha! Ha!

Ellie, I sleep late as I need to pumped breastmilk to my baby since the production at night is more than day time. I used to pumped one more time at 0300 am/0400am but now my baby sleep thru the night then I cannot wake up anymore, therefore my milk production is less than before. Do you have plan to breastfeed your baby?Everybody ask why I am so slim, this is one of the reason.

I want to breastfeed for a longer time this time.  For Andrew, I only breastfed for around 1 month due to all the negative comments from parents (since he is too tiny, till now )  Another thing is that I may not fully grasp the technique.  So I consider it a failure last time:cry:

I know that breastfeeding is good, but it really depends whether I can do it better this time, and also the size of the BB, parents are still thinking in the traditional way .  May be I should seek more advice from you later   I think it's really good that you can breastfeed for several months

I just checked with the school, there were 2 kids (including Eugene) who were infected with chickenpox.  The other one was reported to the school yesterday.

After discussing with hubby, we decided to defer Andrew's trip till end of July or early Aug.  And in the mean time, we will bring him to take vaccine.

Thank you for reminding me to report to the school as I thought no one would be in the school during summer vacation. The school said including Eugene there should be at least 3 kids in K1B (both am & pm) infected.

You are lucky that the plane ticket can be changed as seats in summer are very tight. I hope Andrew will be not be too disappointed of postponing his trip.

Actually they didn't tell me which 2 students got chicken pox and I just presume Eugene is on their record .  In that case, may be there are more students got infected, and may be Eugene got infected from school also.  btw, I was told that Miss Tsang got infected around the same time as Eugene also.

Actually this is just our plan now, and we are checking if flights are available, since we also know that they are very full:cry:

Most of the chicken pox on Eugene has dried out and peeled off. Today I took him to see doctor and certify that he has recovered and able to go out. He is so happy as he loves to go out. My baby daughter has no sign of chicken pox but I shall see for two more weeks.

what is Andrew' s trip up to? Any luck to change ticket?

It is interesting to know that Ms Tsang has not immune until now. However my husband told me that he had it when he is 20.

Horace has a fever for 5 consecutive days last week and then his back was very itchy with what I think is 濕疹 (he used to have quite often, so I didn't really aware).. but this time it was a little bit serious than before which finally ended up with little 泡泡 for 1 day.  Since he has taken the immunization before, now I am wondering maybe that's chicken pox  (but very mild version) as well!!

He's in K1A pm class, do you know if there is anyone from K1A as well?

Ellie, do you manage to get the ticket?

Horace mama, I suggest that  you should let Horace to see doctor, the symptons you described seems like chicken pox instead of eczema as eczema should not have watery pox but chicken pox are the little watery poxes and very itchy sometimes with fever too. Besides, the vacination for chicken pox is not for real immunization, it only minimize the number of poxes  when it comes.

If Horace really has it. Congratulations !! Welcome on board !!

Babyu, yes, I've taken Horace to the doctor again today... the doctor said he will also assume that's chicken pox although there are only 3 of them and the watery only lasts for 4 hours on tuesday...they dried out on Wed already... so Horace is joining Eugene lah.....Horace still feels very itchy and the doctor has given him something to wash and put on... but he cannot stop scratching them.

poor Eugene, how can he handle that?

As expected, flights are very full, so it was decided that they will bring Andrew over as scheduled, so he is already in LA.  We miss him sooooo much:cry:.

Andrew was very excited on Friday and he waved to us happily.  On one hand we are happy that he enjoyed it and being so independent, but on the other hand, somehow I have the feeling of most mothers 20 years from now, when children are having their own peer group, getting independent and do not need much attention from parents any more.  The feeling was bad.  I then think of some people saying that when you get old, the only person whom you'll spend the rest of your life with is your spouse.  Seems too soon to think of this, but I just got this feeling in the last few days, and the feeling was bad:cry:.

I think you can be more relieved as long as Horace feels better.

Yes, hubby and I missed Andrew.  He called us everyday though.  He is very happy there.  I asked him to take more photos so that he can tell us what he'd done .

Andrew finally got chicken pox .  It started to come out the day before yesterday, on his back.  They discovered it when they helped him for a bath at night.  It started from around 8, and then in the morning, it grew to around 20 already.  This morning when we called, he got some in his mouth also Although he said it's not very painful, and he still got appetite, I can hear from his voice that he was moody.

Before he left, we told him that we'll bring him to watch Transformers when he's back, he was so excited.  When I tried to distract him from the topic of chicken pox during our coversation this morning, i asked him "記唔記得你返來後Mummy Daddy會帶你睇咩?" He answered"睇醫生" .  I just feel bad when I can't be with him when he's sick:( .  I hope he can get well very soon.

Another thing we worried about is our nephew.  He's just 9 months old.

btw, Babyu, how's your baby girl?  I hope she's fine too.

Hi, all, I'm back!

Babyu and Ellie, 你地講開，我先諗起去旅行之前一日，Cyrus身上出左幾粒rash，我冇為意，而家諗起可能係水痘。因為Cyrus之前已經打左針，醫生話就算出都係好少，可能佢真係中左我呢個阿媽都唔知！希望Andrew同Eugene都快d好返啦！

Looks like lots of them got infected by the chicken pox... luckily it's summer holiday, otherwise, the situation will be even worse....I talked to some of the parents in my son's class PM K1A but it seems that their children are ok.

Oh! dear ! I thought Andrew is save from Chicken pox this time but..........Did he has any fever? It actually is not too bad except if he has fever. For Eugene, he did not has any fever (strange), so except he was itchy, he can still play and do a lot of things at home.  

Most important, are you immune, Ellie?  as you are pregnant, you are the most dangerous one and CANNOT be transmitted otherwise the baby will be affected. As I am immune already, my baby girl is still protected by my immune system, therefore, she is save from chicken pox this time. But the doctor said mother immune system can only protect baby until 6 months, so unfortunately your newphew has a high chance of being transmitted.

Cyrus, did you have a great time? Any souvenirs to us? Ha! Ha! I beg little Cyprus must be so happy for this trip and you & your husband are so tired after the long trip. HK has been so HOT, I don't even want to go to the nearby park, so very jealous of you !!

Haven't heard from you for some time already!  Seems like Andrew hasn't got any fever, everytime we called him, he said he was fine. We are much relieved then.  But really worried about little nephew.

For me, I am immune already.  That's why at first we want to keep Andrew in HK, but, anyway ...

Did Eugene enjoy his summer activities?

Ellie, Eugene has started his summer activities. They enjoyed a lot and have so much fun.

I guess by now, there should be no new chicken pox comes out and the old poxes should start to dry. My friend told me to boil water with parsley, then wait until it cool down, let the kid to soak in the parsley water, that will stop the itchy and makes them feel comfortable. Eugene likes it a lot and he still keep asking me to make him bath in the parsley water.

I do share your feeling that first you worry your son, then you worry your little newphew and don't want him to get sick. Poor you !! Pls take good care of yourself plus your baby, be happy and relax is the most important for you right now.

I told Eugene that Andrew had chicken pox too. He said he will pray for Andrew. You know praying is what they did in K1B when someone gets sick.
