Thank you for coming to Discovery Bay on 22 March 2008 for the Easter Egg Hunt on the beach cum Fun Fair. It was most unfortunate that the event had to be postponed initially, then completely cancelled due to the continuous thunderstorm signal hoisted. We understand the disappointment of the participants, but as a responsible event organizer, we had no other options but to cancel all the outdoor activities for safety reasons. With all the set up and arrangements already in place, you can imagine that we were indeed as disappointed as you and the kids, if not more.
To thank you for your support and let your families enjoy a relaxing yet fun-filling experience in Discovery Bay, we would like to invite you to join us at the Discovery Bay Sunday Market on 6 April 2008. The DB Sunday Market takes place on the 1st Sunday of every month, except during summer months of June-August. It is a European style open-air bazaar selling specialist and home-made products, handicrafts, art, organic fresh produce, clothing and toys. A perfect Sunday can be spent on market shopping, followed by a relaxing afternoon tea or fireworks dinner from the choice of some 20 restaurants at Water Margin on the waterfront.
To complement your special trip, we have arranged a special gift for all participants who have registered for the egg hunt on 22 March. Simply present the printout of this email and quote your name at the Water Margin Information Centre, and you'll get a gift pack which contains a number of nice surprises for your kids.
