So unfair, the story is ....
On monday, my son's private school bus was late to school due to traffic jam caused by road repairing.
And his class teacher chopped 'LATE' (instead of red flower) in my son handbook. hei asked me always why he didnt red flower.

Yesterday, i have chanced to asked the teacher when i brought my son to school, she explained me that he arrived at about 8:50am.
However, after i left from school, i saw one of the school bus was coming to Kent's campus,....  so unfair that  it's students are still counted 'ON TIME' even the time actual was 8:55am. :cry:  :cry:

If you can take the school bus on time, the school bus late back to school which will not classify to late.  If you take private light bus, the arrived time will be counted only.  You're correct that is unfair but also a custom for most of kindergarten.
That why the school bus fee is higher than the private bus, most of parents (inclu. me) will still choose the school bus due to this favour.  We don't worry about the late for traffic jam but need to paid more.

昨天我個仔好開心o甘同我講, 話教師教他們畫1字, 之後再畫兩個肚’dum’. 我拿出神奇畫板出o黎. 佢就寫l喇, 寫完仲好大聲講  “B”.

雖然佢好開心, 不過乜 o甘快寫字咖咩?

So am i, my son's handbook was chopped "LATE" on Tuesday due to the traffic accident (News on TV also). Now i understand the reason why the parents chose to take the school bus.
I changed to private school bus because i met a rough driver and the "cool" teachers at the school bus that I wonder why the parents still chose to take the school bus untill K3. The driver's emotion is equal to children's safety.
So , I still chose the private school bus for high quality services with more communication, more consideration and lower price.
However, i worry this chop on my son's handbook will not good in future, anyone know the influence of this?

Dear Kwinghei,

My daugther 's school-bus was OK except it was late to come in the first two weeks! I think that it is better to have some teachers in the bus to take care of the children to ensure their safety. Also, as I know, there are some teachers are waiting for the school-bus to come and accompany the children back to classroom as well. Will you try the bus for the coming months?

i chose the private one due to the same reason as yours.
Meanwhile, the class teacher, the office's staff and
the driver of private bus, all  told me that this is no big deal about chopping "LATE". So i dont plan to switch to School bus.

mud有d咁既case咩 我又未聽過.........yanyan由k1開始都係坐private school bus, 但就未試過遲到被chopped 'LATE'......

以前我都會喜歡學校校巴多d, 因好似安全d, 全車都係kentville學生.......但佢地條route跟本都黎唔到自己住果頭, 無法la~~     yanyan搭果架private bus 既服務都唔差, 都好放心 :exclaim:

Hi! Yanyanmon,

There are no more "LATE" mark on your daughter's handbook from K1, it may be NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST.  As you say, no school bus arrived your side, and difference route between school bus and your privite school bus.

P.S. My son's private school bus are all     Kentville's student, they are all marked "late".

My daughter is studying in K2G now.  Is there any mom's kid studying K2? Does K2 provide any phonics class to the kids? Thanks.

There is no phonic class in K2.

To : funbabyhk,
My son always talk about your son and he know that he's in K.2G.  May be they are very friends during in K.1H.  If possible, I prefer to arrange a gathering so that they can play together again !  We can also gather with other K.2 mam. - Yanyanma, K&J, Hiuyui.......

I accompanied with my son to school this morning by private light bus.  The teachers told all parents/maids that no class today because the school had burglar yesterday and many policeman at school for getting information.  Except the student taking the school bus, private light bus can have class today.  My son told me they did homework today.
