各位, 我都對EC的教學理念好認同.  希望1st round失敗左既家長繼續努力!

         算我得罪講句，"感覺有一群家長,好像入了邪教一樣......."你呢句説話都幾難聽喎！每人都有自己心目中的"好",而且個個想自己小朋友考入EC嘅daddy and mamee都好清楚自己做的，只是想為自己認同教學理念的學校而努力去爭取，難度有錯嗎？而己經是EC的家長，個個都支持學校和學校合作，因大家都想自己的小朋友在一個理想的校園內上課，難度這又有錯嗎？揀得的學校當然是自己喜歡的、欣賞的，難度這就像入了"邪教"?無咁易掛？唔好咁啦！唔好聽呀嘛！

Dear All Mummies,

I still did not understand the following, can anyone explains the reason why:

In the Guidelines on Application for Entrance to Primary One (refer to the Prospectus), Point No. 2, it mentions that: " The Government's Primary One Admission Net mechanism does not apply."
But the outcome is that: If your kid is being accepted by EC, you have to register before 14/Oct/2006 and your application through the 1st round Admission Net will be withdrawn from list.

This point is quite clear but I don't why the management of EC would mix up or confuse with all applicants.  As I'm still under consideration for proceeding the 1st round Admission or stopping the register to EC, can anybody settle my queries?

Wor....so far ..I live beside the school and just want to get to school more easily.  but still waiting...I dont understand.  May be I need to change the home with you coz I like YMCA (Old school) in TinTsiu Wai.  It is so famous with kinder to secondary....No 1 choice.
If there is one YMCA school at TKO, it is wonderful.
No choice in TKO, so EC is one of the best here.

If they dont get my son, I will go to  Kowloon Tong or HK side for study.  

        
That means EC is welcome all 18 district kids. May be want to select someone really want to stay at the first time.

"The Government's Primary One Admission Net mechanism does not apply."

是指不會影響"自行分配學位"辦法[size=medium]遞交申請。 (Means, you can still send an application to a 政府津貼小學。)  But if your application is accepted by school, then you have to decide register or not, if yes, then, you have to give up the government one even thought you send out your application to a government school. Because EC will inform the government that you already have a Primary one 學位。

It is a matter of "fair game". Since U have taken up a seat which is already govt subsidized(DSS), U should not be given a right to choose other govt or aided-school........ :

My kid was accepted by EC and in the mean time, I have applied Maryknoll under the 1st round Admission Net (41 Net but only have 15 scores).  I don't know how to choose?  I slept not quite well this few days as it is not easy to make the decesion.  I need help!!!!

Actually, it is a diff choice.  But two of them get your girl , you may choice no school fee , right?

The point is DDS & Mary which one can go back. If you give up Mary, no more 2nd change....If give up DDS, do you think you still have chance to go back?

So I will wait until got a result of govt if got 20 points.  15 points , do you think the probability is 0% or 50%?  You must ask some previous Mary's parents.

If me, better wait for the 1st round of Maryknoll. (Again, if me!)  If not success, you still have 2nd round chance.  And most principle said that if you have applied their school in both 1st and 2nd round, they will consider more when you go to 叩門。  Also, if live in 41 net, you have better chance to have a place of a good reputation school.  Of course, no school fee tim ma....  :

因為對宗教沒有認識及興趣, 可是又明白到為囝囝選小學是絕不能用馬虎的態度以“感覺” 或“好像”它是一間正派的教會便疊埋心水等到九月入學! 加上播道書院的課程簡介中清楚列明設有一科“生命價值教育”內裡是包括“信仰篇”, 在我倆收到接納信後便決定親自前往播道教會觀察及了解來避免有未能預計的毫釐差異及萬刧不復的後果出現。

他倆第一次上主日學時我們以陪伴及克服陌生環境的理由要求導師讓我們坐在一旁來了解他們授課的內容, 經過三個星期的觀課後,我倆便利用小朋友上主日學的時間來參加崇拜及成人主日學。

在這數個月裡的參與, 知道播道教會是一間正派的教會, 所以便放心讓囝囝在九月份入讀了。

假如我的小朋友不是入讀播道書院, 而是入讀九龍塘宣道小學, 我們亦會以同一方法來了解教會, 最重要的是教會的大門是打開的!
