Hi ! My son just interviewed at Alliance Primary this Saturday, While I would like to gather more info about this school, please kindly advice. I know the student are very good in academic and moral standard.  Also the school strongly emphasis on music, can you tell me how long it takes for doing homework every day?... is it a lot of projects need to do in a year? Will it be similar to St. Francis that lots of hw to do and many tests and assessment?   Also I am quite curious about their toilet?..cos at the day of interview I found out the toilet opened for us to use is not those that can be sitted? 不是坐廁?...is it all toilet inside the school are not 坐廁?... also I noticed there is not any playground inside the school, right?..so during recess time, where are the students going? is it a lot of projects need to do in a year?  -- 呢樣真係唔少, 基本上, 上學期必有的project: (1)專題設計、(2)音樂(聽一個音樂會)、(3)體育(睇一場賽事), 但基本上ok, 因為係一開學就比你知要做呢幾個project, 學生及家長有成2-3個月時間預備。另外, 還有一些閱讀報告、創意寫作等等。

Will it be similar to St. Francis that lots of hw to do and many tests and assessment?  --  tests and assessment中等多, 數學會多少少, 近測試及考試又會多少少咁, 個人而言, 多tests and assessment都好, 因為可以幫個小朋友分段溫習, 唔駛到考試時, 一次過溫到人都din。另外, 還有默書, 但很少會同一個星期又中默又英默, 而且老師會在起碼一個禮拜前通知默書範圍。

Also I am quite curious about their toilet? -- 係我印象好似係無座廁。

also I noticed there is not any playground inside the school, right?..so during recess time, where are the students going? -- yes, 佢地學校細, 無outdoor playgroud, 但學校會按時間開放禮堂比佢地去玩, 另外, 每星期又好似有2日可以去圖書館睇書及借書, 查實小息時間唔算多, 一日有2次, 每次半個鐘, 佢地食下野, 去下洗手間、去下斟水咁, 都差唔多完喇

so you mean every floor only got 一格是坐廁??...sorry cos I just wonder since the children will stay in school for whole day..I am wonder if they need to go to toilet for "big matter"...it will be quite inconvenient since no 坐廁 available?

Please give advice.

By the way...can you tell me how frequent for the dictation, test and exam?
you said Maths will got more...is it means..every week will got test?
dictation will be one week chinese and one week english? (including unseen)?
also how they weight the music ?..I heard student need to learn one musical instruement also Piano..is it a must after we learned such as Flute..still we need to keep on learning piano?

默書 -- 多數係一個星期中、一個星期英咁囉, 英文暫未試過unseen, 中文就好似第三次默書先有unseen, 如無記錯, 開學至今, 中文默過6次、英文好似默過4次

instrument -- Piano係唔計入樂器內的, 即係你學唔學Piano都無所謂, 反而如果你個小朋友學開Flute, 就可以當係樂器的一種。係開學前老師會分派小朋友學甚麼樂器, 但你可以同老師講小朋友已學開Flute, 應該會安排番學Flute

其實唔係踎廁會仲方便d咩,
我反而覺得可能會衛生d喎,
小朋友唔駛坐係個廁板上。

(因我個個係仔仔, 無留意呢個問題)

唔好意思，小兒今天病了，請問今天係咪無功課？隣居哥哥替他拿了數學作業及已簽的數測卷，沒有功課紙，估計是沒有。另外，如他明天也未能上學，Eng Quiz 是否沒有補測？

Maths has workhome (Ex P.9-10)
And, need to bring back 中文造句(五到八)to school tomorrow.
English is just a reminder for quiz tomorrow.

祝你仔仔快點好返, 在家要有足夠休息、戒口、跟進藥物的效果、及適當戶外活動/曬下太陽、精神時做下學校的功課/溫習----上次我仔仔病了1周, 就是這樣度過的。小朋友身體底子好, 一定會好得快。
我已為仔仔停了12月的游水堂, 以免着涼生病影響考試。
