我都想知道聖心小學係2007年可以轉全日制嗎?

機會一定有，問題是一、兩年? 三、五年? 還是十年八年???

轉全日制，即係上下午班要分兩個校舍，那一定是下午班搬走 -- 因為上午是私立,下午是津貼，而現時校舍幅地是修會自己的物業。

這幾年下午校就遷出做過的工作:
1. 入紙向教統局申請南區一個新校舍 --- 被教統局否決了
2. 教統局建議把西區一小學現有的校舍給予下午班 --- 被校長否決，理由是班房不夠
3. 教統局反建議把西區兩所小學現有的校舍給予下午班 --- 被校長否決，理由是實行有困難
(其實這方法也非不可行，現時一些學校，例如維多利亞也是分高年級/低年級兩個校舍上課。不過在"自己有地方"，又"唔憂冇人讀"的前提下，這些傳統名校又豈會如此"屈就"?? 當然是"揀到

英文係讀深一年，但小朋友都好快pick up到，你唔使擔心。

不過今年我女小四，要佢地隔日睇south china morning post我就覺得有d難度，想懶d唔陪讀都唔得。

Actually, I found it is not too bad for the half-day mode except we have to get up very early.    They can come back from the school to have lunch at home instead of having lunch box at the school, which should be better in term of nutrition and freshness. Moreover, they can have chance to take interest classes in the afternoon.

How did your daughter pick up the english in S.H.?  
I am worry about the stage from K3 to P.1 (really a big change).  Did your daughter always reading english story book?

我個人覺得，即使唔讀聖心讀其他一般程度的小學都應該自少養成閱讀的習慣。

我自k3 (已經算遲)每日一定抽20分鐘一齊讀英文故事書。 中文書由於個女本身程度唔錯所以k1開始就自己睇，我都慳番d陪讀時間集中係英文書處。

其實如果你睇下小一，二的英文教科書其實都係來來去去果d野，小一教完，小二都會重覆少少，所以你唔駛擔心。 況且你個女現在在聖心幼稚園讀，在銜接上點都會有少少優勢。

Yes, I also choose some english story book to read for her, I read in english and translated the story in Chinese, is it a good method?

My daughter is attending P.2 in the a.m. section.  I would like to have a chat with other parents.  I felt so tired today because both my daughter and I have been working so hard for preparing the term test.  How about you all?

Dear Happy Bee,

Agree!  You know what?  My girl made so many careless and silly mistakes.  For example, she mispelled 'excellent' twice and have 2 marks deducted.  But the word 'excellent' could be found on the paper.  She also mispelled 'is' for 'in'.  And many more!
But I found the General Studies paper was much easier than what I have expected.  Do you still remember the General Studies paper that they wrote in the first term test in P.1?  There were a few questions on current affairs.  But this time, none!
Today, they will receive their Chinese and Math papers.  My girl is not so good in Chinese!  Hope the result will not scare me to death.
How is your girl doing?
Wish both girls get good results.

I am fine - not driven mad yet by the test weeks (girl and now boy)  

The English paper was long and tricky so as always, my careless girl made unnecessary mistakes......  Let's see how the other papers turn out - no high expectations!

I still have to struggle for 2 more weekends     So remember me when you are having fun with your girl!

Hi, Ononyoyo,

Yes, I do remember in the General Studies paper in last year, there was a question about the taste. They needed to write "酸甜苦鹹" for the answer.  Also, there was a question about the "紅蟲" being found in the public swimming pools.  Comparatively, there is less challenge for this year.

So far, the result of my girl is OK la, not to mention the careless mistakes    For her class, the result of Chinese is not yet known.
